1. Anderson was throwing mostly 96-97 in the first inning.
2. Kennedy is wearing stirrups. I think that means Outman died on the surgery table.
3. The Tigers unis are pure class. I’m rooting for them in the AL.

    Only good thing about Penn State unis is you never have to change ’em out between practice and games. They simply couldn’t be more boring.

    I still wonder why this move was made so abruptly – Hannahan took batting practice, Buck took a late afternoon flight. This decision was made late in the day, not this morning. Why the rush? Is someone else hurt and they’re not telling us, or didn’t they suddenly decide that their need for offense requires Buck pronto? Is Nomar Garciaparra’s availability iffy again? Is someone just sick of seeing Jack Cust in right? The fact that Landon Powell is DHing a day after Kurt Suzuki DH’d makes me think that there are some personnel issues of some sort.
