Do other people get the same “Unresponsive script” note whenever making a new post?
The A’s are quite a platoon-free team, but Eric Patterson is really really not being platooned, as he is in against a tough LHP, for reasons I cannot fathom.
Odds are high that at least one of the A’s or Sharks will win this evening.
Yeah, I get that “Unresponsive script” dialogue every time I do a new post — except via the mobile.
Ditto here. And it makes things go really slowly for a little while. But then, whether I select the “Stop Script” or “Continue” button in the dialog box which comes up, it seems to have the same result either way–it lets me finish.
BTW, I plan to drop the XM radio stuff off at your door between 5 & 6 today.

Apparently he took the warm up skate and was a last minute scratch. I’m no Dr., though I have consulted the A’s medical staff, but there was speculation he was playing hurt last series. Could even be a severe case of the flu. Who knows.

Didn’t see this mentioned but C Josh Donaldson is getting called up tomorrow to replace a soon-to-be DL’d Kurt Suzuki. No word on whom is getting bumped off the 40 man roster to make room for Donaldson but my guess is with Duke getting hurt tonight he’ll get placed on the 15 Day DL to make room on the 25 man roster for both additions. (Cahill starts tomorrow per Slusser.)
You’re gonna need another roster move for Duke’s replacement though, if he goes on the DL. Devine to 60 day DL is likely.
Duke will most likely be replaced in the rotation by Mazzaro next week. I don’t know who goes down 4 days from now to make that transaction work.
That makes the decision to call up Cahill before 20 days a little easier to take

IIRC, monkeyball prophesied the end of Duke forever after he went down early last year (before the depression stuff). Maybe he’ll go double-or-nothing the other way on this one.
But yeah…I’d even give 4:1 odds saying that Duke will pitch again someday*.

This is why it was so hard to get too excited about his return. Given his history, there was no way to really expect a full season out of him.
Wasn’t there talk back in the day (i.e., pre-2009) that Duke’s hip was degenerative arthritic? That just doesn’t get better — ended Albert Belle’s career right quick.
And it looks like it’s about to end Duke’s. We’ve got the backups good enough to cover his loss, but it’s still sad to see him go. Hips plus Duke usually means bye bye.

No doubt. The Wings controlled play for a large portion of the game, including the 1st period up until the Sharks unleashed for 3 goals. It’s nice to see how they held on through all of the pressure.
Still, any time you hold Detroit under 30 shots, that is a good thing. Sharks probably held back somewhat as they were constantly playing with the lead.
