So the A’s face the Astros, trying for a series win. Go figure.
Burns – CF, Crisp – LF, Reddick – RF, Valencia – 3B, Vogt – DH, Lawrie – 2B, Davis – 1B, Phegley – C, Semien, SS
Bassitt is pitching. I don’t have any entertaining pre-game banter. I’ve been watching a lot of stuff on Netflix lately, and monitoring the bizarro Republican primary.
Unleash the Hound!
Speaking of Netflix, Opposite Field documentary should be available on it now – even though I haven’t seen it yet, I warmly recommend it
Thanks for the recommendation (even if you haven’t seen it). I just finished Broadchurch (the first season, worth watching) and going through the first season of The Twilight Zone. (I find myself finding many of the most famous episodes lackluster, and liking less acclaimed ones more.)

Valencia again. Beane and the A’s front office always seem good at picking up table scraps.
Is it possible to get altuve out?
Not even when a throw beats him by 3 Altuves (15 feet).
CATCH THE FKING BALL
Nice hit by Semien. First and third, nobody out. Burns up.
Nice hit by Burns. A’s take the lead. Of course, the team needs more runs.
First pitch fastball slap hit, #1 play in the Billy Burns playbook.
Yeah, our bullpen didn’t need any of those other runs to score anyway.
And yet, somehow it still hurts when the scab gets torn off, again.
I’m only unhappy because I’m watching the game. Otherwise, it’s just more of the same.
Good old Team Dynamite.
I know some folks live up where I usually work… thought I’d check in and let folks know I’m good.
Good to hear.
I was aware of the death at Sierra at Tahoe, and now that they’ve identified the kid I guess it might be somebody you knew if not specifically on your crew. Ugh, that’s terrible.
I’d met him, worked with his crew once or twice.
Impressive. Really impressive.
Free Ryan Dull.
Free Pat Venditte.
Seems greedy, we already got a Free Valencia.
Well, I see that son of Gregor still sucks.
W00T
I wonder if Valencia knows about pie.
he did
Valencia, again. The A’s offense bails out Team Dynamite.
Gregorson is just not a closer.
This – the Astros better be looking for some other option if they expect to do anything in the playoffs.
It is really becoming a joke. I think in every series we have played against them he has come in and given up the lead (though we then gave it back in some I think). I never feel confident against closers, but I always know we are in it as long as the son of Gregor is coming in.
It’s time for Gregorsdottir
win
Busy winning the crossfit games.
Thanks, and go As.
I’d have to say that we nailed this.
Just another typical A’s game.
Yep. Pretty much meh from start to finish.
me too, daniel, me too
what is geoffrey jellineck saying exactly?
i am pretty sure he likes it, god damn he loves it
The mystery now becomes whether or not Valencia can accumulate a higher WAR over the next eight weeks with Oakland, than Lawrie has over the entire the season.
why has he bounced around so much?
Toronto was just caught in a roster crunch when they got Ben Revere 30 minutes before the trade deadline, I was told.
farhan, dude, you’ve been through this. stop giving him jobs
Maybe he can get Arthur Rhodes to come out of retirement.
Fear (the return of) Mecir!
