This Royals pitcher has no idea where it is going.
Walk, Wild Pitch, Balk, Walk, Pop Up, Double, Wild Pitch, Walk…
Started with a single, not a walk.
Oh yeah. Sorry Marcus.
Do A’s hitters have a permanent green light 3-0 now?
Not that I’m complaining, mind you.
Maybe a little.
Including Profar apparently…
The Mexican brass band in the luxury box behind LF foul pole is absolutely killing it.
I wouldn’t mind having mariachis at every game, if only to piss off visiting announcers.
Can it be a full brass band on the weekend?
Nice catch
Holy hell, Marcus is amazing.
M-V-P! M-V-P!
OMarcusG
I want Merrifield on the team next year. 2020 is the time to take this team over the top and he’s the guy to go all in on.
I just looked up his contract situation. That is one team-friendly deal.
Murphy whipping out the hose.
that is what I’ve been waiting for!
Was SB&HBoR using SOaD for his walkup music?
Grant (who sucks) jist confirmed on Twitter. Good taste Seth!
What’s Roark’s fastball sitting at? Radar gun off in ballpark tonight
I think he hit 93 a couple times but generally 90-91.
Thanks. Gun just came on. Perhaps less conspiracy than Raiders configuration. Perhaps…
They’ve chased like 2/35 offspeed pitches out of the zone.
Ugh
Petit warming in the 4th? In a hurry.
Thank you terrible Royal batter.
Yeah, thankfully they’re all free swingers but this is not going to work against the Yankees or Astros.
and CB!
Roark is the grinderiest pitcher I have ever seen.
Of all the times a pitcher has gotten out of a bases loaded no out jam by striking out the side, that was the worst pitched ever.
“You might think…” is not the Cars lyric for that escape, graphics guy. “Just What I Needed” or “Bye Bye Love” maybe.
GM: oh oh it’s magic.
I’m cringing a bit at Diekman here but at least we’re getting him out of the way early.
This is the absolutely ideal spot to bring in Diekman as long as he’s on the roster.
And thats the problem. Hes on the roster.
Opponents are hitting .750 against our loogys in loogy spots this year.
Surely this is hyperbole yet I fear to check least it prove true.
In retrospect, shifting for Gordon would’ve made a lot a sense.

Wait, so that’s first I’ve heard anything of that. Royals people are suggesting they’re reconfiguring the outfield and potentially moving the bullpen off the field? Are they just wishcasting here?
the giants are, and the royals employ child molesters as broadcaster
I heard someone mention the bullpen over the weekend. Saying maybe goi.g by the stairs in the OF post Raiders.
Yuck.
how will kids get on the field to run the bases?
You are asking the wrong NRAF on that one.
The A’s have well and truly told the Raiders to go fuck themselves w/r/t seating.
Petit up in the 4th then again in 6th he better come in next batter or he’s gotta be unavailable, no?
Rickey’s in the house!
CB giveth and CB taketh away.
CB is truly terrible.
That one had me fooled too, Glen.
How did that stay in the ballpark?
Is it cold out there tonight?
Above avg by maybe 4°, by no means cold.
Agreed. And fairly still as well.
I hate this pr move, ugh…
I don’t like PR for Oly. The little lift on speed vs the drop we will have in defense and if his spot comes up again isnt worth it.
Totally worth it. Sigh.
Agreed.
KD! Off the bat I thought it was a surefire DP.
i’m torn
Come on Bob…
I feel like some idiot shared the stat that batters do well when swing on 3 – 0 without taking into account the hitters who are usually allowed to swing 3 – 0.
That was a fucking stupid PR for Olsen. What the hell
Thanks, and go As.
I forget what other post this was discussed in, but the eldest Ace is now begging me from the across the house to mute the TV when the Charlize Theron/Tricky commercial comes on.
I’m still so confused by this ad. The only understandable part is that she never takes even one sip of that beer because it probably tastes like shit.
I was out with some coworkers one night last year(?) and they had a couple of girls sampling it. It was probably the most reluctant free beer sample I have ever had and it barely met my low expectations.
Christ, you can’t throw that 2-0.
Or drop that.
Canha would have caught that?
Yes
probably
Olson move looking worse and worse.
Jesus H.
Just awful pitching, awful managing this game.
I dont want to lose. But better now I guess than in a couple of weeks. Get this shit out today.
They haven’t had an off-day in a couple of weeks, and it shows.
the walk off will be epic
they should walk chapman to get to…pinder
But Ed, Barreto looked really fast as he got caught in that run down.
I mean, 3 straight mid 90s fastballs down the middle…
Thanks, and go As.
4 straight now…
Thanks, and go As.
5….
Thanks, and go As.
Of course Olson’s spot makes the last out.
Had to happen. Made worse by the fact that Pinder can’t hit at all.
That sucked
This disappointing outcome has at least heightened my chance of being (cough cough) sick on Weds in need of a midday sun scrub.
Good news is, they had no business having a lead in the 9th. Still, I don’t want to see this again
Melvin should have asserted the constitutional right of Royal assent and prorogued the game after the 8th.
ALexit?
Rexit.
A’s lead the majors with 29 blown saves. The list of teams with most blown saves that have made the playoffs anyway has to be pretty short, I imagine.
I went back 10 years and almost all teams that led in blown saves had losing records. The 2016 San Francisco Giants led with 30 blown saves but tied the Mets for the NL wild card. Santiago Casilla led the parade with 9 BS.
And then five relievers combined to blow a three-run lead in the ninth as the Cubs eliminated them. That was great.
Well, yeah, but we know how the A’s ultimate demise in 2019 will play out. It might be some Diekman, Treinen, Buchter, Soria clusterFK, or Bob trying to milk a fourth inning out of Petit, but that’s the general idea. I hope it’s not in Game 162 in Seattle; that would be awfully humiliating.
Does Vegas has odds on these? And if so can I hear the action on sending Bailey out for the 6th?
FK trivia: The ESPN site lists blown saves going back to 2002. Name the only A’s pitcher in that span to lead MLB in blown saves for a season (actually he tied with two other guys).
Hints: He wasn’t the A’s closer that year; he had 8 blown saves and only 3 saves. He was still active early this season but his team released him in May and I’d guess his career is now over.
My brain broke contemplating the vast bleak universe of crappy relievers A’s rosters have included since 2002.
The guy I named there wouldn’t be one of the prime suspects either. He had 1.8 WAR that season, a close second in the bullpen and ahead of the regular closer.
That whole (spoiler alert!) 2014 bullpen was a little weird.
That was the year of JJ, who was a disaster, but also lost his role pretty quickly.
After that they mostly had good (Abad 1.57, Gregerson 2.12, Otero 2.28, Doolittle 2.73, EOF 2.25) or at least OK (Cook 3.42) ERAs, but toward the end of the year it felt like absolutely none of them could hold a lead. That culminated of course in the WC game disaster, and then evolved into TD! the next spring.
Same, Barry
Pish.
The Tigers are 1-15 vs. Cleveland this season and prospects for gaining win #2 tonight are not looking good.
Lollipop McJurkStore cant turn the DP.
Dodgers have like 8 good starters, bad bullpen, going with a bullpen game against the Rays.
It looks like they are doing it again tonight. Or at least they are starting a reliever. Maybe it’s an Opener thing.
They are doing another bullpen game. What the hell, Dodgers?
six runs in the bottom half would be nice
Any A’s runs at some point would be nice.
Or hit(s)
I’m open to a lot of menu experimentation but am quite sure I will never order one of those Jack in the Box chicken-mush sandwiches with 4 patties.
I admit to having tried a 3×3 at In-N-Out. The problem there is that the bun isn’t substantial enough to handle more than a Double-Double, and with a 3×3 you wind up with a handful of goop after a few bites.
The 3×3 is my go-to at In-n-Out. I eat so fast the bun doesn’t have time to disintegrate.
Glen and Ray going on and on about the 2014-5 Royals is triggering me.
they really have no clue about that stuff. seems dumb
Khris is not getting hot Ken
The bottom half of the lineup today is just not good.
Oh good, now Grossman and Phegley get to make the first two outs of the next inning.
If they DFA’d Profar to make room for Montas I wouldn’t shed any tears.
Looking at it this morning I would think Blackburn would be the DFA to get Montas back on the 40-man roster. It’s nice for a change not to have 5 or 6 hunks of scrap metal sitting there where you’re thinking “they could dump any of these guys, it doesn’t make any difference”. Even a Dustin Fowler, who has no future in the A’s organization, should have a little value as a throw-in to sweeten a winter trade offer.
The team has done a nice job building young depth, while also avoiding the sort of Laureano-losing crunch that can result from needing to carry prospects (Holmes, Kaprielian, Mateo) who aren’t quite ready to contribute but are too good to expose.
What’s the deal with Barrera-is he good? I feel like we have to keep him for now because of the Murphy/Luzardo postseason stuff, but he is the one name I always see and dont know.
He’s a COF who needs to develop more power, but as it stands right now he’s probably a 4th OF short side platoon type.
This is a team in need of a day off.
And they’re taking one tonight!
Puk and luzardo are not missing ML bats
Thank you Oly.
That improved my mood quite a bit.
Can’t pinch run for me if I hit it out.
Estimated distance: a country mile.
450!
SBaHBoR!
Seth looks great by traditional stat measures and also by SBaHBoRmetrics.
ASVD!
(It’s been a while since I’ve seen that)
Good, everyone’s awake now.
Lock Seth down through his arb years now! :-P
and see if he can play 2B.
Brown is now at 1 WAR on Fangraphs through his 18 games. That’s good for seventh on the team for batters, 0.2 behind Profar and 0.1 ahead of Grossman.
Dodgers take the lead too.
Canha runs the bases well.
WTF was Merrifield thinking there?
That isn’t the percentage defensive play with one out, Whit.
Hopefully the Royals are so pissed about that, they trade him to us next year.
that was not whitty
Last two nights were the best that Soria’s looked to me, maybe a long rest was all he needed?
LC: youre right. But does this mean we give him the rest of the regular season off?
Would like a second Soria inning, pls.
Liam Hendriks might take the mound no matter what Bob says.
Aussie reliever demanding to pitch the last inning…
Yup, the math checks out.
I like Angry Hendriks, he doesn’t screw around.
Yeah, dude was pissed.
I didn’t notice until now that on Olsen’s homer the sign lights up “oly Toledo.”
YouTube needs trigger warnings.
Thought I would try out their Free game of the day. I watch for 10 seconds and hear “lets take a look at that magical 1988 run”.
That ended the free game of the day for me.
Giants and Red Sox have used 24 pitchers combined tonight.
it doesn’t really matter who wins the dodgers rays. the A’s have at least a 2 game lead on them for the top spot
Is a Cleveland/TB game 163 for the right to come to Oakland too much to ask?
Canha got hit twice tonight?
Yes, now tied for the lead league with Choo.
And only three behind Jason Kendall and Don Baylor for the team season record.
Wow. Don Baylor. That’s rarified HBP air.
let’s hear it for the headline of today.
it’s exactly what it says. it’s nothing like what you think it says.

Improbably, we have a rain delay here. 105pm projected start.
Take care of that nasty cough, stay warm and dry, maybe get some gargle up in
the West Side ClubShibe Park Tavern.Listening to Townsend kill time during the delay reinforces my resolute decision not to tune in to any non-game programming on “A’s Cast”.
There are people who like him. I cannot understand it.
You could fell a tree with that voice. I wouldn’t be able to take it even if he said interesting things instead 100% dumb nonsense.
I do not understand how he has a job in on air radio communications.
I’d love to see some of those “I wanted to show KC what a huge mistake they made” quotes from Homer, Diekman, and Buchter.
Is Pinder’s corner outfield defense enough to put him on a postseason roster? Because his bat sure isn’t.
olson, semien, murphy brown.
end of list
I think it is all a matter of flexibility. He will end up in 3-4 positions depending on how far we go.
Answer: Yes
Even more amazing was how he held onto it while sort of rolling over his wrist.
FK YEAH
Didn’t think I’d be saying this but Bailey is looking like our best starter after Manaea.
His splitter has been pretty devastating the last few starts.
I think he was paying attention the first few months of the season when the Royals’ hitters were up.
Chapman is getting beat over and over again by fastballs. I hope he just needs a day to put his feet up.
These last couple games are what I deserve for complaining about boring first-inning blowouts last week.
I had forgotten what a strong accurate throw from a 2nd baseman turning a double play looked like.
Wait. That’s not reviewable? Well that’s just dumb. They got it right, but still really stupid not to allow it to be reviewable.
So it will be interesting to see if Bailey keeps going after the quick piggybacking hook on Brett last night.
No Puk, no Luzardo, much tougher call
No Puk, No Luzardo makes Homer something something.
Also Hendriks has worked in 2 straight and 5/7.
Yeah, good time to get him two days off.
Alt take, he pitches after we get a 1-0 lead
We may have a Treinen or Trivino sighting today.
SuSlu with an update on rotation plans:
Fiers is in line to start the WC game.
Manaea would be a possible Game 1 starter (Luzardo to piggy back).
Anderson/Bailey to follow.
Bassitt is essentially coming out of the rotation.
Still interested to see what they do with Frankie Magic next week.
I would guess he’s probably another piggyback option.
Feels like a game that will be decided by a solo homer.
Ugh, if you’re going to take Pinder’s defense out, at least PH with Brown? With 2 outs and Grossman’s best case scenario being a walk, what’s the point?
Not a very subtle frame job there by Murphy, but it got the job done.
I saw that “Someone Saved My Life” graphic and worried that we had lost Sir Elton.
LOL at a Mondesi’s futile two strike bunt attempt
Please win right now…Diekman is almost certainly coming in next.
When he’s on, and used correctly, he’s pretty good. Today was one of those days.
It helped that Dozier swung and missed at ball four.
It feels like a Jurk store pie type of day.
Not sure I like Fiers as the WC starter.
I’ll hold judgement until his next start.
Given recent history I am prepared to accept this.
Beating somebody named “Kevin McCarthy” would give me great pleasure.
Come on, turn this district
BlueGreen!Ugh, a late surge in votes from the conservative precincts holds the seat.
Fucking Russian hackers.
So in retrospect, PH for KD and bunting would’ve been the way to go.
That assumes we had someone on the bench who could get one down. Maybe Barreto.
Yep. Felt like he should have been bunting (not that he’d necessarily be good at it) but it seemed even at the time that him swinging away was a bad idea.
Bob playing fast and loose with the IBBs today.
And yup, this leads to Soler coming up.
Wendelken’s stuff sometimes looks hella sharp.
Jesse Hahn!
Huh, Jesse Hahn still breathes big league air.
T-Shirt Day walkoff
Canha get a motherFKin pie??
Rest up dudes. Lol they can barely celebrate.
Whoo hoo!
I notice you have FRS for Saturday, and I’m coming down for Sat. and Sun. Are you tailgating? I won’t be leaving home until at least noon, most likely, due to Cal’s 9 a.m. kickoff at Ole Miss, but I should be there by around 4:30.
No had to give FRS away. It’s Gaucho move in weekend! Hoping to be back for Sunday. Tailgate possible?
Take your time with Primera and don’t rush back for that, but sure, if you’re there. I’m doing the quick overnight with a Priceline deal on Hegenberger and game tickets are already taken care of. Any text number you might have for me would be obsolete but the Vince-honoring e-mail in my profile is still current.
Cool, I’ll let you know. I have always really enjoyed a last home regular season game day tailgate. And I’ve been wanting to reprise my french toast kabobs.
Mmmm, french toast kabobs.
I can relate to where Primera is right now. In 1979 Cal was still on the quarter system, starting classes at the end of September, so this is exactly 40 years since I showed up there as a nervous freshman. I did get to go to a few A’s games at the very end of that season, although BART was shut down due to a strike (for about 3 months IIRC) so the only way to the Coliseum was the AC Transit 57. Saturday marks the 40th anniversary of this typical turd, where I was one of the 2340 in attendance. I remember it because U.L. Washington, he of the toothpick, hit homers from both sides of the plate in his first two ABs against Langford and Minetto as the Royals took a 9-0 lead. The A’s had a promising rookie left fielder who could steal some bases, but he went 0-for-4 and his OPS was only .685 so his future was dubious at best.
Back from SB but no time to shop/prep for any kind of tailgate tomorrow. So if I go at all it’ll be a game morning decision.
No problem; I thought that was likely. I’ll do my usual other Sunday morning activities.
Getting it together this AM seemed way too daunting. That 101 drive is a lot more grueling than I remember it from the 80s/90s when I made it frequently. I’ll keep my charcoal dry for the next home game.
October 2nd baby.
I heard on the radio today that their football team hasn’t been defeated in 47 years
Nice win, bitches.
Your defending World Champion Boston Red Sox were just eliminated from the #1 AL Wild Card slot.
They better FKing try against the Rays.
Canha only has eye black under one eye? I have never seen that.
On rewind it must’ve rubbed off in the celebration
That explains the need for Bassitt in the pen.
And really you could tell Treinen has been having issues for a while now. His last few appearances he was pitching at the lowest velocity of his A’s career.
I’d like them to keep Blake over the offseason. Give him 6 months to get his act together and see what we have in Mesa. That said, this news does not upset me right now.
Yeah spring 2020 Treinen sounds a lot more palatable than Oct 2019 Treinen
Agreed. I had almost posted a comment rosterbating the playoff pitching staff but held off because of him and Lou.
I’m going to say that Lou makes the wild card game roster, but not a full series roster. Wendelken, Luzardo, and Puk have all passed him on the depth chart.
Thank you, Max Muncy!
The Tigers are putting up a mild fight against Cleveland.
Oh well
This feels like Tampa Bay vs. Oklahoma City (“Josh Sborz”????)…hang in there guys…
now if one of the brooklyn dodgers can get a hit
I really do respect the competitive makeup and battle of Fiers, but I just don’t see how the A’s brass feels more comfortable going with him at the moment over Homer or Manaea. I truly type this as a Fiers fan, but he hasn’t pitched well since I think shutting down the White Sox in early August (and it would make perfect sense if the injury is part of the explanation).
Also, thanks for fucking nothing Dodgers.
I’d lean towards Manaea. But Homer did well today.
Rays are slightly worse against lefties. Manaea has looked great.
Manaea + Luzardo
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I agree with you and mikeA. Fiers would not be a great option for the WC game.
My hope is that they arent just team speaking when they say it isnt one, and that the week plus basically off will do him some good. But if he doesnt look great the next time he throws you cannot start him period.
Either way Im just glad we won’t be using an opener.
They still have 2 regular season starts to see how he looks and change their minds. And if they can keep the current margin through the end of next week, Mengden and Blackburn can start the last two games of the regular season, leaving any of our other starters potentially available to start the WC game.
Yeah, if there’s any signs of a repeat, he’s pretty much done.
The Rays have 38 players on their active roster.
The Gnats are 5 games over their expected W-L … is that because they’ve been blown out a bunch of times?
Blake treinen?
I dont think I knew MLB had “administrative leave“.
Yeah, isn’t that supposed to be for cops who shoot people?
Surprisingly few decent seats available for tomorrow night.
Grabbed some in Section 214. Looks like a beautiful night for baseball in the City of Oakland.
I was surprised to search for the DET-CLE game and find out it’s a Big Fox telecast. They’re only inflicting the Tigers on 9% of the country though: a few stations in Ohio and Michigan, plus San Francisco/Oakland (but not even Sacramento) and Tampa/St. Pete.
The Tigers are useless. I don’t know why I am watching this.
i feel better that the royals are fighting with the twins.
The Royals have some legitimate Major League Baseball players. The Tigers are just sad. I’m disgusted by that loss to them.
It’s one step closer to the Indians knocking out the Rays – that’s what I’m telling myself to make this feel better.
OK, if he was telling a foreign leader he would to release aid to that country only if they investigated his domestic political opponent, and he also is trying to cover up a whistleblower complaint about that quid pro quo, that has to lead to impeachment…right Nancy??
“A very disappointed Nancy Pelosi fired off a stinging letter this afternoon”
If the reporting is correct, he was literally soliciting a bribe in the form of campaign assistance. Auto-impeachment territory. This isn’t fucking hard.
It is when you have an entire political party who literally doesn’t care about laws. Only power.
The only thing stopping impeachment is the House Democratic Caucus. Removal is another story, but at least send up the indictment. Maybe I’m an alarmist, but I feel like our form of government is at stake here, which means you can’t admit defeat before the game is played.
They really think the lesson from WJClinton was “impeach=mid term losses.”
But they don’t seem to grasp people just didn’t like the bullshit reason the hose gave.
Further, you don’t lose a single vote with impeachment. You only can enegize angry voters, which is what happened in 98. It will again when he isn’t removed.
Angry voters won in 94, 10, 16 and 18. Lets make america mad again.
What exactly was the lesson from the two elections after Nixon? Yes, he resigned, but not before impeachment articles were drawn up. Most of our leaders are old enough to remember that.
That feels like a lie. A cover my ass “we’re doing what we’re doing” but not fighting for what we can do and must do.
The lesson was don’t admit wrongdoing even if you commit wrong doing. And don’t ever let the truth get in the way of the party’s power.
No disagreement. But it is what we’re dealing with. The government is at stake here and unfortunately it’s rolling over and giving up.
It sure sounds tonight like it is happening. Buckle up.
thing is about her slow play, the GOP is just gonna say it was a lie, it was a game, she wanted it all along. And they will “win” on that issue.
I don’t think they will win on the election based on that, but it makes her look as weak as if she was ready to impeach the motherfucker day one
I disagree with that. I think it looks like she didn’t want to do it but was forced into it by Trump being so brazenly corrupt, which is the probably the political sweet spot for her and most of her caucus.
It will be unfortunate if the Articles of Impeachment end up being just about this one thing though. There is so much other corruption and abuse of power that should be in there for posterity and for 2020 campaign purpose.
the vote in congress matters, some.
it’s about the hearings. and exposing all that stuff on TV for more than a cycle or two.
which is why i think she’s all, guys guys, not yet. we need the NY DA taxes to come thru.
the thread. not the tweet on top.
I dont think we disagree too much.
I agree that her caucus will buy the “will she, son’t she” of it. My problem is thinking she was winning over moderate republicans and no elected officials. I think she thought she could. I don’t think she can
“If the Administration persists…they will…take us into a whole new stage of investigation.”
Nevertheless,
shethey persisted. In other words: we’ll REALLY investigate you!
Red sox and phillies have to take care of business> I really really really really want t he A’s to clinch in Anaheim. the angels just got celebrated on in NY, I want to see at the big A too
she sure talks a game.
but it’s not as sexy as giuliani on cuomo or as vinograd’s snarl on whatever this puts her on.
I may go to one of the 2at the Big A’s so I am on board with this.
Attn: Nancy
Mitt is tacitly inviting impeachment here. Let’s do this.
He’ll naturally run lockstep with Mitch on expediting the Senate side to scuttle it.
knowing she’s not dumb, i have to (or i’ll lose my goddamned mind) expect she’s been cooking something else up that’s less escapable. like, financial stuff.
and that she’s reading the public as being meh on complicated quid pro quo even if corruption-laden, but personally pissoffable on issues of self-dealing and enrichment via the office.
at least that’s where she was as of last week, with financial vs russian collusion, when this other can of worms opened up sort of by surprise. so now she’s weighing whether to stay that long course or change with this one because it’s exploding, and whether one distracts from the other so she’s waiting a little longer till she can mic drop or something something, and i can have faith in that because she is that pelosi who clapped so venomously that one time…
otoh [voice of gob] COME ON!
i did lose my GD mind this morning with mikey barbaro leading the story with biden’s ties rather than obstruction of the memo. and the reporter with the goofy voice (rather than the goofy cadence — that’s mikey) going, well we’ll just see how the media shapes this but it’s starting to look like a repeat of butter emails.
and it’s like dude, YOU’RE THE MEDIA REPEATING THE FALSE EQUIVALENCE. YOU!
YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU.
if YOU can see it so clearly, why are YOU doing this again??
It pisses me off that for over a decade, the primary focus of the media has been largely on hammering Dems for why they’re doing this or why they’re doing that. But they seldom spend the same effort on Republicans. On these pretty obvious crimes should be shoved in Republican’s faces forcing them to be defensive. Instead they deny the issue outright and the media doesn’t question it.
and so little live pushback on incoherent word salad. not talking about trump’s, which is nonsense. i’m talking about people who put together words into complete sentences, but say whateeeeeever.
I am losing my mind. I don’t understand
I did think today, however, do Booker, Klobachar, Harris, and Warren all have to sit through the evidence to vote for impeachment? DOes that get in the way of campaigning?
Not likely. Mitch already said he plans to scuttle that part of the process. He plans to reject pretty much all evidence and potential witnesses. He’ll pretty much rush it to a vote with the GOP falling lockstep in Senate votes.
I assume he’ll try to pocket veto it, a la the Garland appointment. If he tries to bring it to a quickie vote, John Roberts really has to come in and start administering oaths if we are taking the words of the Constitution seriously at all.
but do you have to pull your candidates to be there?
Except there’s broad authority for them to appeal every decision Roberts makes with a majority rule system. So Roberts acts, McConnell appeals, Senate votes, Roberts overruled.
My guy has been drifting away from the far right wing toward the center but this is a surprisingly big step for him.
It’s a reasonable position to have, especially for someone of the same party. At the very least it’s one that can be defended either way come November 2020.
Currently playing first base for the Cubs: Jonathan Lucroy
He just spaced out and missed a pickoff throw, letting the runner go to second. This is a one-run game in the ninth in a crucial pennant race game against the division leader. Joe Maddon, ladies and gentlemen.
Gotta find a way to keep his bat in the lineup.
He’s due up third in the bottom of the ninth, with the Cubs down a run. Can’t make it up.
They are pinch hitting for him. Which means Maddon brought Lucroy in at first for defense.
forgot I was watching that. stupid work
The guy who pinch hit for Lucroy (Tony Kemp) walked, then Zobrist grounded out to end it.
Wait, Mitch Moreland is capable of doing things I like?
aubrey huff with out a doubt
Starting last night, and continuing today, the twitter algorithm has been feeding me non-stop Royals content. Bizarre.
huh. mine’s more PM and the court.
Y’all don’t go with chronological?
yes. but i read from the bottom up.
just got to the spider brooch.
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
History has its eyes on youuuuuuuu
