The average fan: my dad was telling me at a birthday
dinner last night that he loves the Garciaparra signing because, among other reasons, he is a “much better DH than
Cust” since he is a “.300 hitter.”

    Why is there no Gameday
    Audio for KTRB?

Geren is a genius. Garciaparra right before Cust=Cust
leads off a bunch of innnings.

    “gone a-lookin'” drives me nuts.

    “Ironically it was here
that Felix established his career high with 12 strikeouts.”

…and Boston takes the lead. I tried to convince myself
that Napoli sucks for awhile, but he’s damn good.

I think Billy signed Cabrera and Nomar solely because he
was sick of hearing Vince say “gone a-lookin'”.

    Gaudin–>minor league deal with SD

Other SD news: I watched the intro or teaser or whatever to the first game of the Giants/Padres series, and Kuiper
-the-less-annoying-but-still-annoying informed me that the Padres had “silenced the nay-sayers” with a “big series
split” against the “defending division champion Dodgers.”
