In fact, I did and didn’t. Apparently he does long toss up to about 300 feet or so and the first “pitch” he does before taking the mound each inning is in such a way that he sort of runs up a couple steps and fires one at the catcher about as hard as he can, it seems.
He looked kinda shaky, definitely exciting to see though, sitting mostly around 92-93 but hit 95 a few times, had off-speed stuff around 80.
My buddy pointed out his weird mincing run over the mound on the first pitch of each inning, wonder if they’ll let him keep that in the bigs.
I have him stashed in two keeper leagues, came away feeling mostly edified but I’m a bit worried about his B/9, that said, for one of his first starts in AAA though I was more than satisfied.

Yeah, today was great for a day game in late May. High of 73. Wednesday’s day game is supposed to reach low 90s but then Thursday and Friday will be close to 100.
Manny really did look like he was just having better ABs overall today. They did sound like you’d figure. I do try to keep that attitude. It’s tough at times when it feels like I’ll never get to the point where I’m making any money doing it, but I always tell people I’d keep doing it even if all it ever got me was the access. I know a lot of people would enjoy being in my place, able to “hang out” around these guys, and I still love the sport.
You also never know when you’ll see something you haven’t before, or get a shot you’ve wanted to but either didn’t get the chance or had it come out poorly another time. Plus, days like this – though few and far between – are pretty fun when you have a guy with 555 career homers and one of the best right-handed hitters ever in Ramirez, performance enhanced or not, an exciting guy in Cespedes doing a brief rehab stint, and a bonafide, expected future star in Bauer on the other side.

What I like is that you enjoy it so much. You post your pictures with pride, and it sure seems to me that you love almost every minute of your time on the sidelines behind the camera.
I do try to keep that attitude. It’s tough at times when it feels like I’ll never get to the point where I’m making any money doing it, but I always tell people I’d keep doing it even if all it ever got me was the access. I know a lot of people would enjoy being in my place, able to “hang out” around these guys, and I still love the sport.
You also never know when you’ll see something you haven’t before, or get a shot you’ve wanted to but either didn’t get the chance or had it come out poorly another time. Plus, days like this – though few and far between – are pretty fun when you have a guy with 555 career homers and one of the best right-handed hitters ever in Ramirez, performance enhanced or not, an exciting guy in Cespedes doing a brief rehab stint, and a bonafide, expected future star in Bauer on the other side.
There’s a lot of repetition in certain types of shots, but another part of it is just being able to say “Hey, I saw that guy play and here’s something I shot of him.”

If you go into your profile, you can change the refresh to 30s, but it still will require clicking on the unread posts at the top right.
It’s actually much better than the realtime comments once you are used to it. A lot easier to pay attention to conversations and subthreads without the screen jumping around all over every time there’s a new comment.
