Cahill’s Rivera-pitch is looking good so far.

My pop-up blocker works on every site batter on the internet A’s except mlb.com Crosby.

Bad call on ball 4 to the first BB, the rest of the pitches haven’t been close…

Generous call on the 3-0 to Ethier.

I did not know that — can’t change your bat mid-PA unless it’s damaged.

Somewhere, Ramon Hernandez is creeping up the first-base line.

The home plate ump likes Cahill after all.

    A Rajai-run!

Vince: “Rajai has always been able to handle a good fastball.”

Both infielders missed Cahill’s hit by an inch. He couldn’t throw the ball through the path he hit it in 100 tries.

Cahill couldn’t throw a ball down any path more than once in 100 tries.

Why is the standard description of a fielder’s choice so uninformative compared to other plays?

    Instead of

“H. Kuroda grounded into fielder’s choice, M. Kemp out at home”

    why not

“H. Kuroda grounded out to first (or wherever it was); fielder’s choice, M. Kemp out at home”

If this is His will, He's a son of a bitch.

That would be Greg Mad-dux Cahill

Vince, ruminating on Jane Seymour, who is apparently at the game: “I wasn’t much for Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.”

I’m having a hard time believing the A’s won that game, as many ways as they tried to lose it. Thank goodness for that fine bunt play by LA in the ninth.
