        Cook and Norberto could be fringe candidates.

      • lenscrafters Apr 25,2012 1:56 pm || Up

        DLS, Cook, and Norberto all fit the description of previous starters turned relievers with great stuff. But they probably have to show they can be dominant relievers first.

        • Glorious Mundy Apr 25,2012 1:59 pm || Up

          Cook and Norberto would fit with the concept of exploiting the phenomenon, since they were both acquired on the cheap or as secondary/tertiary pieces because they are “just relievers.”

          DLS was a starter and then converted when he blew up his arm, right?

      • lenscrafters Apr 25,2012 2:20 pm || Up

        It was amazing that he even got to the ball, but once he got there he probably should’ve caught it. It wasn’t an easy play but someone like Coco probably would’ve caught it. Wall didn’t factor in.

        • Future Ed Apr 25,2012 2:24 pm || Up

          I just saw the replay, I agree that the wall didn’t factor in the drop, but I think the wall did factor in the mini leap. I think he leaped unnecessarily anticipating contact with the wall. Regardless, he should have caught it.

          And yeah, fking pennington. turn and throw and there is an out at the plate.

    I noticed this while gamecast surfing during the game and thought I’d mention it:

    In the Arizona vs. Philly game Cahill was relieved by Breslow in the 6th. The two combined to give up 5 runs in the inning.
    At the exact same time, Parker was relieved by Cook in the 7th. Cook limited the damage and they left the inning with a 2-1 lead. Cook went on to hold through a rocky 8th.

        Popup to short center field. Kurt jogged to first in disgust. Turns out De Aza was playing extremely deep so he couldn’t catch it. He dove and ended up rolling around on the ball a bit. Anyone could’ve made it to second by then; it’s especially egregious considering that Kurt would’ve been in scoring position as the winning run.

          I like how there are 3 people in the Fking diamond level seats.

          Thanks, and go As.

          He probably hits HR on inside pitches too, but man — if you are a pitcher, you do not want to let Sexpedes extend his arms!

          I like how the pitcher is looking around trying to find the nearest place to hide.

          A soliloquy of fresh-sounding ideas which would probably be disastrous.

          The fact that there was actually a fan in position to make the catch is fairly amazing.

            The Cespedes seats may become dynamically priced, if this goes on.

      And that was meant for the grill. Close enough.

        It was only sort-of funny to me… until I got to “always going on about climate change”, which is hilarious!
