    Some of these are funny, many are not, and some I don’t understand.

      Someone linked those in the dld like three years ago. Jackass.

          I just read all three of these after a completely depressing game, and I realize why I like you guys.

          Thank you. I needed that. Fucking Rajai. I’m taking donations to drive to St. Pete and murder him before he gets on a plane to return to Oakland.

      • xbhaskarx May 21,2009 2:04 pm || Up

        I don’t read the DLD.

            Does it involve perusing slightly amusing pics?

  2. mikeA May 21,2009 2:00 pm

    Man, Hannahan is not very good.

  3. Jjjsixsix May 21,2009 2:00 pm

    Why does GDA say that the game is in Tampa Bay, FL, when such a city does not exist?

  4. mikeA May 21,2009 2:06 pm

    Apparently Cunningham got sent back to AAA.

      For the new pitcher

      Bring Cunningham up, start him against two RHPs in lieu of Buck, then send him back down.

      Bewildering.

    The Twins get 20 runs on 20 hits … what is the record for the highest number of runs scored with no more than that number of hits?

        Ask and ye shall receive – thanks!

        And I might have known the (mike)A’s would be on the wrong end of one of those.

        We could really use a guy named Vic Power.

          I know a guy named Dick Florida.

  6. nevermoor May 21,2009 2:35 pm

    How on earth did Giambi go first to third on a single?

    He’s a gamer…

  7. BruceBochte May 21,2009 2:37 pm

    Whoa, I finally found where all the cool kids from AN ended up.

  8. BruceBochte May 21,2009 2:51 pm

    Green Star,

    who do you like in the CL final? I have a hunch you are a Barca supporter, like myself.

    • green star oakland May 22,2009 10:29 am || Up

      Ultimately I’m a Liverpool fan, which used to mean that I was automatically a ManUre hater above all, but now that Chelski have come along I’ve discovered a team I hate more which is all very confusing … ManUre:Yankees::Chelski:RedSox

      However a good thumping by Barca (especially with a couple of dodgy decisions) would be an amusing outcome if only to see how Sir Alex go Deep Purple.

      If this is His will, He's a son of a bitch.
  9. xbhaskarx May 21,2009 3:01 pm

    How come whenever we need a big hit, Crosby or Hannahan are batting?

  10. xbhaskarx May 21,2009 3:04 pm

    • xbhaskarx May 21,2009 3:05 pm || Up

      woo hoo!

      • BruceBochte May 21,2009 3:16 pm || Up

        Braden got through Longoria and Pena, and then gives up the HR.

        Braden is done. When Jason Bartlett takes you deep your finished.

  11. nevermoor May 21,2009 3:50 pm

    Oh. Cabrera.

    Love the run, hate the killed rally.

    "There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want"
  12. mikeA May 21,2009 3:50 pm

    I request a win.

  13. xbhaskarx May 21,2009 3:51 pm

    Woo, tie game!

    Slightly boneheaded baserunning all around, Cabrera for getting in the rundown, Hannahan for not heading for home much earlier. At least give the team a chance with a play at the plate.

  14. mikeA May 21,2009 3:52 pm

    At least that baserunning sets up the next inning nicely.

  15. mikeA May 21,2009 3:59 pm

    Bartlett had 11 career HRs coming into this year, and he has 6….

    • BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:08 pm || Up

      Didn’t realize his numbers this year were Holliday-esque…

  16. BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:09 pm

    I like Giambi against Percy…

    This could be good!

  17. BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:10 pm

    I like G-man against Percy…

    This could be good!

      Is this series enough to restore your confidence in the A’s season?

      I think they have had a tough schedule early and if they start to hit like they should, they could come back.

  18. lenscrafters May 21,2009 4:14 pm

    What the hell happened there?

    • mikeA May 21,2009 4:17 pm || Up

      Rajai was running on the pitch, Giambi hit a high fly ball to the wall in CF. Upton settled under it 5 feet in front of the track, Rajai ran back to second, the ball wound up landing ten feet behind where Upton had settled, so Rajai was on second when it landed (and had a collision with Holliday) and wasn’t able to score. Hilariously bad play by Upton.

      • lenscrafters May 21,2009 4:20 pm || Up

        Sounds like a lot of fuckups on both sides happened in that one play.

    • BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:22 pm || Up

      That’s the B Cro we know and don’t love…

  19. mikeA May 21,2009 4:18 pm

    The A’s should retire Kennedy’s number tomorrow night.

  20. mikeA May 21,2009 4:22 pm

    We should start a collection to throw a huge party rivaling the bicentennial for when Crosby is no longer on the A’s (by whatever means.)

  21. green star oakland May 21,2009 4:23 pm

    Crosby and Hannahan just doin’ their thing.

    If this is His will, He's a son of a bitch.
  22. lenscrafters May 21,2009 4:25 pm

    Crosby’s 4 for his last 31…so much for his “hot streak”

  23. mikeA May 21,2009 4:27 pm

    umpire screwed him on ball 1…

    • BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:32 pm || Up

      Yeah, that’s how this year is gonna go…a lotta punches to the gut.

    • nevermoor May 21,2009 4:33 pm || Up

      Can’t be too mad. Bailey was due for a tough inning

      "There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want"
      • BruceBochte May 21,2009 4:35 pm || Up

        Initially, I liked leaving him in for a second frame…

      • green star oakland May 21,2009 4:37 pm || Up

        Can we be mad at the dynamic duo at the end of the last inning?

    I could have sworn we just acquired a lefty specialist.

  25. lenscrafters May 21,2009 4:36 pm

    As much as I’d like to blame Geren or Rajai, I think this one’s solely on Bailey. You don’t walk the leadoff man, who just so happens to be Willy freakin’ Aybar, in the bottom of the 9th with a two run lead.

    Although with the way he’s owned the A’s lately, I guess the A’s are terrified of him.

    And as I type this Rajai bobbles another ball. Fuck him.

  26. xbhaskarx May 21,2009 4:39 pm

    Handing away victories is much worse than losing 10-3 when Cahill/Anderson implode.

      Yep. That’s some real bitter ignominy cabbage right there.

        Meh. We just split a series with the defending AL Champs!!!

        Who could have predicted something like that (besides FK’s GoG champion, me)?
