Most people lose respect for me eventually….often right after meeting me. I tried but my wife and the the guys I was going to run with threatened to have me arrested if I did it.
So we’ve run out of movies to watch and we’re thinking of doing a TV show on Netflix. The choices are Friday Night Lights, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Treme and Chuck. Any advice?
Psych is funny although it’s not as good as it was. NCIS:LA stumbled out of the blocks but it’s going from strength to strength. Plus I’d very much like to sleep with one of the cast.
I lost interest in Burn Notice about a year ago. I just felt it was getting stale. I like Person of Interest more than Lisa does but she watches it with me. That and House are the only network shows I like, she watches Glee but thankfully she only asked me to watch it with her twice.
I would watch Hugh Laurie read the phone book. I just really enjoy his character and besides I love mysteries and House has mysteries I can never figure out since they’re medical mysteries. On cop shows I always figure it out because I’ve read so many mystery novels.
I really enjoyed the book and the film versions of Friday Night Lights. My only hangup is I work at a HS so sometimes watching a show about a HS just doesn’t excite me too much but I hear the show is great.
I’d say give it a try. There are so many good characters on it and IMO it stays excellent throughout. I was heartbroken when it ended. Plus, for you there is the lovely Mrs. Taylor, and for your wife, Coach Taylor and Tim Riggins. Everyone is happy.
found a show that thrilled me nearly the same way the wire thrilled me when it was new. the killing. (us version, i hear the danish (?) version is even better.
*i’m* AV. alex vause. put this loon in psych before she hurts someone.
I would totally suggest Game of Thrones, except that I’m only two episodes in, so what do I know. Also, from these two episodes, I get the impression that it would be really confusing to watch if you haven’t read the books.
We haven’t read the books. I have two friends trying to talk me into the show. I hear it’s really good but fantasy isn’t a genre that either of us are big on.
As a counter-argument (and yes, I realize this is also countering my own argument four comments up), my gf claims to be enjoying Game of Thrones so far, despite the fact that a) she didn’t read the books and b) she is not at all into fantasy. I haven’t decided yet if I believe her.
People really love Friday Night Lights. I haven’t watched it, but I’ll probably try to get to it sometime.
I love Chuck. It had some rough patches (mostly in the 4th season), but overall, it’s a really fun show. (And, I think, it’s quite a bit more light-hearted than the other shows on your list.)
Friday Night Lights bored me after an episode and I stopped.
Game of Thrones Season One was tons of fun, and I’m very excited that Season 2 starts this Sunday. I’ve also started reading the book. If you like intrigue and adventure in a swordplay era setting, you’ll like it. Also, lots of hawt nudity.
Boardwalk Empire. Kept watching it, because parts of the feature-film-maker-tries-TV aspects are good. But fundamentally, I say Steve Buschemi can’t carry a film or TV vehicle.
Treme. Very disappointing. Watched the whole first season, the setting is great, some of the acting and characters are great, but ultimately the plot just never moves forward, especially once they try to move past immediate Katrina issues. It’s molasses.
Chuck. No idea.
"Kraut will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no kraut."
oh yeah, almost forgot. last night i started watching the after-1.5-episodes-still-decent black donnellys, which answers the question “where’s frank zabotka?” and the other question, “is olivia wilde hot even in black manic panic?”

Game of Thrones has Lord Thomas Carcetti, but bogs down trying to be faithful to the breadth of the books’ characters and plots. Sci-fi fantasy audiences are extremely understanding, so it all flies. It’s half-good with a lot of horsey parts.
The Game of Thrones books are good, not great – the sexy parts read like Penthouse Forum. The staying power of the books are their easy reading and mainly the compelling, complex and sympathetic villains. And Arya Stark.
I’ve got Joe Abercrombie next on my fantasy reading list. I’m told he does gritty/complex better, but we’ll see. GoT is quite good fantasy because there really are no heroes or villains, and people’s motivations make sense. Hell, the closest he comes to a pure altruistic hero is clearly designed to leave you with the impression that he’s an absolute moron.
"There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want"
Yes, not a regular fan of the genre, open-minded(!), but do also credit the discussion of GoT for bringing forward some of the best of it, which I hope to get to.
Love And Rockets was alright, but I prefer Peter Murphy’s solo material.

speaking of comics. can i crowd source? am engaged in discussion about contemporary (nothing you’d see in the papers, even today. think my new filing technique is unstoppable and beyond, especially beyond) short comics (single panel or a few). i do not enjoy the ones i’ve seen. they’re cute enough drawings, but i find the humor RREEEEALLY dumb. i end up preferring the ones that aren’t trying to be funny but are just neat to look at. but there’s only one illustrator that gives me that.
my friend may have just made a point by asking me which ones (besides charles’ random access) do i like? because maybe i do just hate all contemporary comics and only like charles burns out of reputation. so i’m wondering, anyone out there up on this stuff? can you give me some examples of good ones or ones you like?

Yeah, definitely a continuing story. I also don’t really understand the current arc because a) it’s kind of abstract and b) he has been posting very infrequently (this has been true for the last couple years).
But definitely check out the archives, dating back to 2002 or so. I first got into achewood back when it started out as a print comic in the Stanford humor magazine.
I haven’t! I’ve read Daisy Owl, but I’m doubting that’s the same thing. I’ll give that a look when I get home. I used to read a whole bunch of webcomics, and I still have a lot of them bookmarked on my laptop at home, so I can give them a run-through when I get back if you want more suggestions.
Glad one of the ones I suggested fits what you were looking for.
I think I’m getting a sense of what you’re interested in here, so if I come across any others, I’ll let you know. Check out A Softer World if you haven’t already, as that’s probably the closest of the ones I’ve already suggested. The ‘Overqualified’ section under the “Other Projects” tab there has some really good stuff too.
I came across this one today. I’m not saying it’s necessarily good, but I liked it a lot. General Lee & General Grant Avatars and a happy zombie and a mosquito demon who bites people to make them believe in him…

Wow, el blowout. Cal won that thing during the Ben Braun era. It didn’t particularly propel them to higher levels in the subsequent years and in fact it was probably the high point of Braun’s coaching tenure.
Okay, good will defeat evil as my mighty Jayhawks take down Ohio St. Kentucky will get past Louisville and then it’s KU vs UK…..Bill Self will beat John Calipari for a 2nd time in the finals and 3 years from now UK will have to vacate this trip to the Final Four due to whatever crap Calipari is pulling this time.
Fuck your mighty Jayhawks. I cursed out an innocent senior citizen in a Honolulu bar because of them last weekend.

The real sadness was this year, because before Marshall got hurt in the tournament they were definitely a championship-caliber team (as is Kentucky). The years like this where they have a real chance at greatness and fall short are the ones that hurt the most.

I would make having a good security detail priority number one.
A quality financial team is two.
My entertainment agent would be third, because I’d need a reality TV show ASAP.
The only way I could handle the deluge of requests for money from pretty much everyone would be to deal with it on camera in full public view, researching and rewarding the non-crooked ones that touch my heart and offer the most long-term value for society. I would also mercilessly mock/defrock/expose the liars and fools who try to scam me. It’ll be like “To Catch A Predator” mixed with certain elements of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” It would absolutely KILL in the ratings. I’d have to tone down the transition for a couple of years and present as male until the ratings start to slip, and then WHAM BANG SLAMMO, I come back for Season 3 with ENORMOUS TITS!

It started getting easier for me when the kids started to get into school. But you have to be willing to read more books that grab their attention. So if you can get them hooked on a genre you like, then it’s a double win.
I also found I could get hooked on kids series really easy by seeing the joy when I read it to them. No there is an obvious limit to how much of a thrill I can get out of reading the complete works of Thomas the Tank Engine, but it’s better than them watching another episode of Spongebob.

They’re only one point out of the 3 slot even now, NHL seeding of division winners being what it is.
Go 2-1-1 or better vs LA and Dallas (twice each) in the last four and they should squeak in as a 7 or 8. Even 2-2 if they beat the Kings twice could be enough. But they’re in a lousy place, especially since they suck on the road so badly.
"Kraut will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no kraut."
If Dallas loses in regulation to Vancouver tomorrow (very possible), they’ll remain only one point in front of SJ heading into the home-and-home. So certainly they are not dead in the water yet, but having said all that, they have given no indication they are gonna turn this thing around.
Random Sharks fact: their last victory over the Avalanche, was their first win by more than one goal in over a month! Ugh!
Highest points-per-game of any team in the NHL as of the All Star break.
Yeah, Niemi went through a stretch there from mid February to mid March where he just may have been one of the three worst goalies in the league not good. He is at least regressing to his norm, which is still not very good, but unfortunately now both Marleau and Couture have only been seen on the sides of milk cartons.
With me it’s more about changing it, so that I can get to netflix or youtube content. For some of you it would mean no blackouts if you watch mlb.tv. Added security is a plus

My college roommate couldn’t eat Oreos because they were made with lard. He was stuck with Hydrox. Poor guy.
So we’ve run out of movies to watch and we’re thinking of doing a TV show on Netflix. The choices are Friday Night Lights, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Treme and Chuck. Any advice?
Burn. Notice. Or Psych. Or NCIS: Los Angeles. Or Person of Interest.
I watched Burn Notice for years….we DVR Person of Interest but we’re a few shows behind. No interest in the other two.
Past tense?
Psych is funny although it’s not as good as it was. NCIS:LA stumbled out of the blocks but it’s going from strength to strength. Plus I’d very much like to sleep with one of the cast.
I lost interest in Burn Notice about a year ago. I just felt it was getting stale. I like Person of Interest more than Lisa does but she watches it with me. That and House are the only network shows I like, she watches Glee but thankfully she only asked me to watch it with her twice.
Isn’t House just the same episode every week?
Burn Notice is awesome. You take that back.
I would watch Hugh Laurie read the phone book. I just really enjoy his character and besides I love mysteries and House has mysteries I can never figure out since they’re medical mysteries. On cop shows I always figure it out because I’ve read so many mystery novels.
you know spies… bunch of bitchy little girls.
The man with the chin does make me laugh.
Bruce Campbell?
Yep. He was the main reason I started watching the show. He amuses me.
He is awesome! When I grow up, I want to be Sam Axe.
He is definitely the reason I keep watching.
I have learnt so much from that show.
I invested in a soldering iron years ago.
never found the need to glue together two disposable cellphones and slip them under the seat of a car, but i do like the banter and the characters.
Friday Night Lights!!!!! It is sooooo good. As soon as I forget what happened in it, imma watch it all over again.
Then watch Treme next. Not as good as the Wire, but I still really liked it.
Right now it’s the favorite.
i can’t see the mrs taylor loveliness you have somehow found.
It would be hard for any show to be as good as The Wire.
paging monkeyball…
I agree, by the way.
found a show that thrilled me nearly the same way the wire thrilled me when it was new. the killing. (us version, i hear the danish (?) version is even better.
I would give it a pass then. It’s not genre-bending enough, at least imo.
That’s probably some good advice.
For years a I’ve had some friends trying to get me to watch Chuck and we both like funny stuff so we’ll give it a try for sure eventually.
Of those:
Chuck. No idea.
SB can’t carry? someone needs to watch trees lounge…
agrd.
FNL is good family viewing. somewhat melodramatic but: hot chix, sports thrills, and “where’s wallace” is finally answered.
treme is great too.
oh yeah, almost forgot. last night i started watching the after-1.5-episodes-still-decent black donnellys, which answers the question “where’s frank zabotka?” and the other question, “is olivia wilde hot even in black manic panic?”
GoT. Tear thru it and be ready for season 2.
Boardwalk Empire is a superior soap opera.
Yes, not a regular fan of the genre, open-minded(!), but do also credit the discussion of GoT for bringing forward some of the best of it, which I hope to get to.
I just read Love and Rockets..
love and rockets is the best. hopi is my secret cartoon girlfriend.
Love And Rockets was alright, but I prefer Peter Murphy’s solo material.
yummy fur. speaking of great comics that ended up as band names.
Word. L&R totally blew my mind as a teenager. Daniel Ash and company, a little less so (Earth, Sun, Moon is pretty good, though).
of course, Tones On Tail is my favorite over L&R, Bauhaus, and P.M. solo…
GO!
i enjoy the entire franchise.
I didn’t grow up with any of it… just acquired it like a whale acquires plankton.
Wow, what yummy plankton!
speaking of comics. can i crowd source? am engaged in discussion about contemporary (nothing you’d see in the papers, even today. think my new filing technique is unstoppable and beyond, especially beyond) short comics (single panel or a few). i do not enjoy the ones i’ve seen. they’re cute enough drawings, but i find the humor RREEEEALLY dumb. i end up preferring the ones that aren’t trying to be funny but are just neat to look at. but there’s only one illustrator that gives me that.
no like. no like. yes like.
my friend may have just made a point by asking me which ones (besides charles’ random access) do i like? because maybe i do just hate all contemporary comics and only like charles burns out of reputation. so i’m wondering, anyone out there up on this stuff? can you give me some examples of good ones or ones you like?
I’m not quite sure if this fits, but the only ones I read regularly are XKCD and LICD, though the latter I’m not particularly proud of and I’m worried it’s declining.
XKCD is smart, but i think it’s a traditional comic with rough art. perhaps LICD drives in the point that contemporary comics just aren’t for me.
Not totally clear on what you’re looking for, but Hark, A Vagrant is my favorite comic at the moment.
i’m not clear either!
liked that though. never heard of it.
and it reminded me of another one i kinda like. lisa brown.
I like that. Especially the Jonathan Franzen one.
THAT WAS AWESOME!
I’m stealing that shit.
Just for you
I think I’m in love with her.
Get in line.
[sigh]
story of my life.
nice.
I am not up on internet comics (or internet anything), but there are 2 funny A’s / baseball jokes in “Wilson, ” the latest book by Daniel Clowes.
The book is one of Clowes’ best, he goes hard for the humor every page, sorta his crack at an imaginary Sunday strip.
i love clowes. velvet glove is a masterpiece.
i once had to email him and ask for a drawing for a work project. he was all, “sorry, having open heart surgery next month.” glad he made it.
flavorpill clowes-alikes. i actually laid out the book pictured in #8. (and i put the subtitle there where you see it on the cover. that was my one artistic contribution.)
achewood
link
that’s very interesting and it had me… until the very last panel. will keep digging.
i mean, digging through the achewood archive.
oh wait, is it a continuing story? that might change my mind about the last panel if it’s not really the last panel of that eintire plot.
Yeah, definitely a continuing story. I also don’t really understand the current arc because a) it’s kind of abstract and b) he has been posting very infrequently (this has been true for the last couple years).
But definitely check out the archives, dating back to 2002 or so. I first got into achewood back when it started out as a print comic in the Stanford humor magazine.
cool.
It got really good once the cats started being the focus. Last time I checked it looked like it was winding down, which is super unfortunate.
100% this.
Yes. the book the “The Great Outdoor Fight” by this same guy Chris Onstad is really great.
Didn’t know about the internet strip – cool!
If we’re talking Internet comics, Achewood, as mentioned, is excellent.
Basic Instructions is another good one.
A good example of the more one panel (generally) type is SMBC.
To list a few more covering the whole range: Dr. Ninja, Married to the Sea, Toothpaste for Dinner, Dinosaur Comics, A Softer World
dial c for comics treasure trove. thanks!
ever hear of pornographic barn owl?
I haven’t! I’ve read Daisy Owl, but I’m doubting that’s the same thing. I’ll give that a look when I get home. I used to read a whole bunch of webcomics, and I still have a lot of them bookmarked on my laptop at home, so I can give them a run-through when I get back if you want more suggestions.
i like his drawing style. kind of old fashioned.
the rumpus has some other good comics too and that link will take you there.
sure! give me more! what are the really weird ones?
If you like art in a comic, this is a good one: Dresden Codak.
Thinkin’ Lincoln is always fun, albeit now discontinued.
ruh roh. i think one of those links tripped my antivirus.
Really? Huh. They work fine for me. Try Pictures for Sad Children. Does that set it off?
i love this one. really understated humor and the art fits perfect.
Glad one of the ones I suggested fits what you were looking for.
I think I’m getting a sense of what you’re interested in here, so if I come across any others, I’ll let you know. Check out A Softer World if you haven’t already, as that’s probably the closest of the ones I’ve already suggested. The ‘Overqualified’ section under the “Other Projects” tab there has some really good stuff too.
yes to a softer world and yes, you do get me! (i feel naked.)
nicht lustig (not funny)
I love it, but you have to understand german
ich verstehe! nicht alle, aber etwas.
I like the oatmeal.
moi aussi.
…although I may BE The Oatmeal…
I came across this one today. I’m not saying it’s necessarily good, but I liked it a lot. General Lee & General Grant Avatars and a happy zombie and a mosquito demon who bites people to make them believe in him…
tried true blood? i like it.
shameless season 1 is pretty good.
On Netflix you can stream all seasons of ST:TNG. Just sayin…

NIT baby, wooooo!!!!!
that’s what one monkey says when eating lice eggs off another monkey’s back
Wow, el blowout.
Both of my parents went to K State, so I would be disowned for rooting Jayhawks.
Fair enough….I watched K State kill the Jayhawks more than once in football.
Fuck your mighty Jayhawks. I cursed out an innocent senior citizen in a Honolulu bar because of them last weekend.
Having made that obligatory bitter Tar Heel statement, I am totally rooting for Kansas now. I’ve always liked ’em, and there the historical KU-UNC ties run deep.
Quite a few defections (to the NBA) from the Tar Heels’ program today. Looks like Roy has a big rebuilding job on his hands in ’12-’13.
Knew that was coming. They’ll be OK, so long as would-be Soph PF James Michael McAdoo sticks around. They’ll have three starter-quality 2 guards back, plus a new supposedly awesome point guard and a 6’10” guy.
The real sadness was this year, because before Marshall got hurt in the tournament they were definitely a championship-caliber team (as is Kentucky). The years like this where they have a real chance at greatness and fall short are the ones that hurt the most.
I’m pulling for OSU for pure I-can-still-get-paid reasons
Heh…..yeah I have to admit beating Ol’ Roy has been sweet for us Jayhawks but UNC will be back like always.
My wife is trying to pick the winning lottery numbers and I’m trying to convince my wife that winning the lottery would actually suck.
I think I’ve played the lottery twice….didn’t win either time so I gave up.
Post-lottery suckitude is a chance I’m willing to take. Half a billion freakin dollars.
Well… maybe 250M. Maybe.
It would make it pretty hard to work/be responsible/make good life choices, and I’m sure the deluge of con artists/fake friends/etc would really suck
Can I have $5?
Immediately buy an umbrella insurance policy with huge limits and hire a great attorney.
Buy the A’s.
(But what would I do with the other 90% of the money? Oh!)
I would absolutely (try to) buy the A’s if I had the money. I bet I never do.

One of the things that having the little gal has taken away is reading. I haven’t read a book since our baby was born.
Yeah, I definitely don’t read as much as I used to.
yup. it doen’t get easier for awhile
You can actually see the brains cells die as they watch shows like SpongeBob
I had to fight the urge to answer any questions I got today with….ask Ringo you bastard.
I guess Oz’s hours have changed since I notice he posts here during the day now. I guess I’ll have to quit my job so I can join him.
I feel like a new pillow is added to our bed every other week or so. That and I’m pretty sure the rugs in the bathrooms have changed at least 3 times since we bought this house.
so. hi.
Howdy there, Bloom.
what’s going on?
Things are going well.
good good.
Off the wagon again, are we?
not yet.
HOW HI ARE YOU?
everyone’s a little hi.
greetings, purported earthling!
hi. how is it on Mars?
Mars: It’s a dry heat.
Response 1: In fact, it’s cold as hell.
Response 2: I thought SPWC was from Venus now.
wp. asvd.
Awesome.
I dunno. I tune that shit out when I’m in human form, except when deep in meditation.
well, that’s good, I suppose.
go ‘way! This here is squirrel country
hmmm. I thought you all looked a little nutty.
We’re also cheeky
cheeky monkey.
My French is horrible.
cypress hill, is that you?

I don’t have to work tomorrow so I can stay up late tonight! There’s another 3:00 am A’s game from Japan, right?
…yes.
What I find toughest about the Japan opening is that there is now a full week before another ball game over which I can muster any interest at all. The Bay Bridge Series is always pretty tepid, especially since the start of regular-season interleague play, but this year I may just flee to the fight for NHL playoff slots.
I’m excited about Sunday’s game. The A’s don’t come to town every year.
This’ll be the first time in four years I haven’t gone to a Bay Bridge game, because my firm has Giants tickets and I always rank that series right after the regular season A’s series. I’m finally moving up!
Ugh. Bad loss for the Sharks tonight. Their playoff chances can’t survive many more losses to the other playoff wannabes.
ik,r? why can’t they coordinate these things. MLB hates me.
I just got a rug burn but not in a fun way.
toupee too close to the lights?
It looks like I brought a ukulele to a gun fight….again.
Don Ho.
I prefer the term Don Slut.
Little known fact….Canadian bacon is actually Portuguese turkey.
Are you like me and wonder when Don Henley is going to do a rap album?
okay, doc. that’s my winner of the day.
I spit rice out reading that one :)
This always makes me happy.
I wonder when Lil Wayne will do the Eagles tribute album.
Time for the most important question EVER? What’s the best type of cheese to use on a cheeseburger?
smoky sharp.
but only a real smoked cheese, not that Hofman’s pasteurized process crap.
If it isn’t Monterey Jack you’re far better off dropping all the fat and calories and going cheeseless.
I’m a sharp cheddar man myself for cheeseburgers.
On a non-gourmet burger, gentlemen prefer
blondesAmerican.Otherwise, pepper jack/muenster/blue are all appropriate depending on the rest of it.
I’ve travelled life’s crazy highways to Swiss and Muenster, dabbled in Jack and even Bleu. But I always come back to American.
I knew I liked you.
tetilla.
Cheddar or blue.
Ask Ringo…
No cheese. And certainly not American.
For JP. And presumably others as well.
You know really that third ear you have is hardly noticeable.
You know I’m starting to think all those hours I spent on becoming an expert at Duck Hunt weren’t worth it.
Did you learn how to control the ducks with the second controller?
Hmm….I wish someone had told me about this in 1987.
I’ll have a vodka tonic….hold the vodka and the tonic.
So you want a little wedge of lime?
YAYZ it’s a lounge! Hi Brian!
Howdy….how are things?
I have the day off so it’s a good day :)
You have a job! Woohoo!
Well, I have books to work on and I just finished and billed one last night. I have work — for now — but not a secure job.
That said, it beats the shit out of NOT having work.
you should write a book, not just edit other peoples’.
I’d read it.
what kind of editing do you do?
I’m Rich!….and by that I mean my name is actually Richard.

I don’t do that. I do 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th.
you don’t go to trial? just deal with motions and stuff?
Seventh applies to civil cases only. Ed’s too much of a badass for civil cases.
rude cases only. got it.
Unlike us civil-side assholes. Though, to be fair, we never use juries anyway.
but when you do use juries, boy howdy to you use them.
I wouldn’t call it bad ass, but I would call it rude.
Jeebus you should have seen my trial that fell apart this week during in limines…
Do tell. I love courtroom disaster stories.
might be too inside baseball, long and short is new Scotus cases on IAC suggesting a certain remedy I thought was applicable in this case because prosecutor made offer throgh email that never got to me or my client. The cases weren’t on point directly, but had enough spirit in them to be a colorable issue.
Anyway one of the co defendants cousel was a total ass, didn’t understand the issue (or another really huge isse we were getting to in my in limine #4, called me incompetent, and said he wanted me recused from the case.
Me and the other defense counsel (there were three co-defendants) actually started laughing at counsel table. The judge was slightly amused, and ultimately fashioned an acceptable resolution to us (not the DA) and we plead. there is more to it, for a FK up or something.
He called you incompetent in open court? In Florida I’m pretty sure you could justifiably shoot him for that.
Only if he was wearing a hoodie.
he did. It was comical, except it was in front of the client.
Anybody here know how to square dance?
i’m too hip to be square dancing.

Sleep well, Kay.
It’s not you it’s me….okay it’s actually you because I’m fucking awesome.
So who do you want to play you in the movie version of your life? I’m going Scatman Crothers for me.
Last call for alcohol.
So I was ill at the beginning of the week and I started to feel better mid week. Now I’m feeling bad again. This is what comes from hanging you with you sick FKers.
Okay you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here….goodnight everybody.
I just had to kick some butt over on our hot springs forum. Somebody didn’t know the difference between the Dominican Republic and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
that’s OK. most people don’t know the difference between america and the united states thereof.
I went to grad school with this guy. Those are hilarious questions, and I’m imagining myself getting stopped on my way through Tech Square and being asked those questions.

the fear that my wife and I might actually win the big lottery.
Can I have $540 million?
I’d have no problem with winning it. I mean, I didn’t play it, but still… money is too important in the world, unfortunately, so having an amount where it’s no longer a worry would be sweet.
Thanks, and go As.
Money is always a worry, no matter how much or little of it one has.
Well I’d sure like to try the opposite of what I’ve always done, to see how it is a worry when there is too much.
Thanks, and go As.
I could sure use that kind of cash. But barring that, a call back from the place that I interviewed with last week would be awfully nice, too.
Holy fk, it is really looking like the Sharks are gonna miss the playoffs!
Crazy. They were like top-3 not so long ago.
Turns out goaltending matters.
Does anyone have any experience with Hide My Ass VPN?
no! but i was coincidentally about to ask you guys if i needed to worry about hiding my IP.
