    OK, this is cute:

    Bobby Crosby, clearly still learning the nuances of playing the hot corner, spent all of his time there when he wasn’t hitting [during BP] and at one point leaped to snag a line drive. It was a classic snow-cone snag, with the top half of the ball visible above the top of his glove. For the benefit and amusement of nobody but himself, Crosby nonchalantly started licking the ball.

    When my daughter was about the age of that tot, one of her very favorite things to do was to lick condensation off of cold bottles and cans. I have a great picture of her at around six months, holding a can of Budweiser with a crazy delighted look in her eye.

    Minor league stuff:
    Ynoa, DLS to arrive (in phoenix) Thursday
    Corey Brown back from injury, still hot: .415/.500/.683; Ks down to a pretty good level in vSSS. It would be awesome if he worked out; my current projections show shitty offense in Oakland for the next 9 years.
    Dusty Coleman still hot: .330/.413/.604; way too many Ks though.
    Denorfia is on the DL with a hammy problem.
    Wimberly (~2nd to 7th in line for starting 2B job) also on the DL.

    Dude. What is on that thing’s head? I can’t decide if it’s a crown or a crown-shaped mane that’s oddly on his head instead of like, you know, a normal mane, or what. If it’s a crown, shouldn’t it be a different colour? But whatever it is, it’s highly unnatural and he should get checked out. I’m just saying.
