Radio guys were going on about how washington chose to use torriabla as a PH tonight when he went with German last night in the exact same situation.
It wasn’t. Tonight Rzepczynski had to pitch to what ever batter came up. Lsat night, if torrealba comes up, TLR would have changed pitchers. So in effect, German was used to get the platoon advantage andWashington must have been hoping tlr would have taken the bait and changed pitcher.
I don’t know what the relative splits on the hitters were, but at least Washington was thinking out there.
