Mayhap I’m late to the party, but holy FK but does CSNBA’s new site design suck.
I sure hope for Ratto’s sake (and for Urban’s, FTM; decent Moneyball piece here [that backtracks everything Urban ever actually said about it during the time he was a beat writer]) that he’s getting paid an assload of money, because it’s impossible to find him on the landing page. And his “blog archive” is … well, it looks like a 404 page, doesn’t it?
Of course, if they are paying Ratto anything more than peanuts (which they surely are), then this redesign is even more moronic.
I wonder if they (and SBN) have started tying compensation to hits, and have outsourced marketing and promotions to the individual scribes?
They’re slowly upgrading the profile of the NBC Peacock (because people don’t hate the Peacock as much as they hate Comcast?).
I think there’s more rebranding coming in 2012, e.g. Comcast’s “Versus” –> “NBC Sports Network”.

Yep, the Eebil Corporate Overlord does looks more like the current CSNBA redesign.
I’ll bet that once the integration is further down the road, NBC buys out Ratto and Urban. There’s no room in that design for “authors/blogs you want to follow” — it’s all tribal-affinity sport/franchise hierarchies.
Seriously. My eyes do not know where to look on that site.
Also, curse you, slickdeals.net–you kill my productivity. But every once in a while, when you provide me something that I was already going to buy at a cut rate, you make it all worth it.
