Ports, anyone? 79

Batgirl and I have been passing notes and whispering about getting a gang together to go to Stockton for a Ports game this summer. She found a bunch of details about seating and pricing and stuff, which I’ll leave for her to share with the rest of the fkwit class because even though she already told me what she found, that info got crowded right out of my head by stuff that I need in order to get good grades in my other five classes.

So… who might be interested in how many tickets for what dates? Dates that are on the table:

Sun. 6/28

Fri. 7/10

Sat. 7/11

Sun. 7/12

ADDED FOR CONSIDERATION: Some Sunday in August, I think Aug. 8. I can’t remember and don’t have the schedule up right now.

All are night games because I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t dig the summer sun. The Sunday games are 6:05, Friday and Saturday are 7:05. I have no idea who the opponents are because it doesn’t matter.

Let’s throw this around and pick a date, shall we?

And just because we need something NSFW:

batgirl in the house!
Im going to try to edit this post and I hope that I dont mess up Poppys formatting. Heres some more exciting info on these games in the hope that some of the rest of you will be enticed into joining us

Tickets are very affordable: the most expensive MVP seats (basically the infield areas) are $10, FIELD seats (outfield areas) are $7, and the METRO PCS HOME RUN HILL seats are $5. Seating Diagram

The other area I researched, and am very intrigued by, is the Jackson Rancheria Back Porch. We would need a group of 25 to get these seats. They would be roughly $28 each, which includes your game ticket and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Im lukewarm on the buffet, but the seating is ROCKING CHAIRS, which sounds awesome to me. 25 could be a stretch, considering other than Oblique and Dogfather*, most of you seem more interested in the clown porn.Porch Info

Im up for any of these dates and ticket options. I havent contacted the Ports about actual seat availability, since we really need to determine what date and price works for those who want to attend. So please answer the following:

green star oakland adding polls to the mash-up …

[polldaddy poll=1566035]
[polldaddy poll=1566107]

* lest there be any confusion, the dogfather would like to go on-record as liking clown porn, too.

Those are some sexy fuckin’ glasses he has on. Excuse me whilst I…um, peruse some clown porn.

(oh yeah, Bobo, squeeze my nose…ooooo, how many clowns can fit inside there?)

    6/28 vs Lancaster Jethawks (Astros)
    7/10-12 vs Bakersfield Blaze (Rangers)

Sadly I can’t make either late June or early July.

My eyes…I have been scarred for life.

In other news, being on the other side of world and all, I will not come (if anyone was wondering i.e.)

I did not know clown porn actually existed. Different strokes and all I guess.

So how’s come anytime I greet anyone in Florida with “How’s tricks?” they look at me as if I just spoke Swahili to them or asked if they mind if I urinated on their kids? Is that phrase so far out of the lexicon that I’m fooling myself here?

    Max Patkin in the off-season?

Since Poppy might have actually sought some actual replies about the actual games, I like either Sunday best, but am available for the other ones, as well. That 7/10-12 weekend is on the tail-end of the July 4th week, so folks who actually get to vacate may be doing so.

    I’ll take some Graham’s 20-year tawny.
(And, yes monkeyball, so will Chuck Finley.)

  9. Poppy Apr 24,2009 8:52 am

Dogdad’s right, I kind of would like some actual “what dates work best” responses. I wanted to make a poll, but I’d have to subscribe to a separate polling thing in order to do that here.

  10. monkeyball Apr 24,2009 9:38 am

Maybe. Depends on Monkeyballs Mrs. & Jr.

  11. batgirl Apr 24,2009 9:39 am

I don’t know why my pricing text is so tiny. But I have to get back to work, so maybe someone can edit it or I’ll try to fix it later. Sorry!

  12. the dogfather Apr 24,2009 11:39 am

Sir, she’s too good, at least!

  13. Poppy Apr 24,2009 2:41 pm

Thanks for the additions of pricing & polls, batgirl & gso!

(Except that I don’t see any of the additions unless I click the “comments” link… only the content of my original post shows up on the main page, with nothing below the Clown Porn.)

As for what makes Fred a wonder chicken: maybe it’s this.
