Welcome back, Stephen.
The A’s lawyerballing a pitcher with poor control is good for us, but kind of boring to watch.
Three hours in, we are still in the seventh inning.
The pointlessness of this broadcasting from LF thing makes it entertaining for me.
I like they they both have their mitts with them just in case.
That throw by Ozuna was real bad.
As was that read by Muñoz.
The Mariners are about to get combined no-hit again.
Congratulations to the Mariners on this extremely pathetic accomplishment.
I just remembered that they signed their GM and manager to big extensions last summer because things were going so great. LOL.
Scott Servais is #2 all-time in Mariners games managed. He’s one of only three (out of 20) with a winning record (Piniella and Lloyd McClendon), but after tonight he’s 300-299 and he’s not catching Lou in games managed so tonight is as good a time to be fired as any.
Profar better be swinging because he sure wont get a ball call now.
Well, he swung
stop.sending.the.fucking.runner
maybe stop doing that bob?
I wish they would broadcast the game.
hot dogs, tho
My kids absolutely love Hal.
His interview with Paul Lukas of Uni Watch is pretty fun, by the way.
he had capers!
I was excited when he pulled those out.
if I were the hitting instructor, i just say swing
Diekman is not good.
Is anyone else using MLB.tv? I think I’m going insane after hearing that Jonas Brothers song during every commercial break.
It’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” that is making me want to die.
Yes that too. If they’re going to show ads, cycling between 5 total ads is ridiculous.
So you guys arent getting the BofA commercial with the stupid vendor? Im ready to grab the hot dog out of his hand and shove it down his throat.
That’s one of the five. For me at least, it’s been easier to tune out ads without a song.
Thats funny. For me all the songs just blend into my ringing. But the bank commercial has closed captions which catches my eye and makes me pay attention.
I don’t even mind the Jonas Brothers one (I am assuming the one I am thinking of is the Jonas Brothers song). There is just something about the isolated vocal on the Whitney Houston song that pierces my baseball zen in a way that only a Chris Townsend intrusion usually can.
Apparently you can listen to Tim McCarver between those annoying commercial breaks tonight, if you choose.
The Jonas Bros/Whitney Houston ads are gone. Now every break has an ad where Charlize Theron walks into a bar, gets a fancy Budweiser from Bubbles from The Wire, and then kicks a bunch ass at pool and arm wrestling while Run DMC plays.
There are 2 versions of that one. 1 has an extra scene where you clearly see her shooting pool with 2 hands even though the gag is she is doing it all 1 handed.
Yeah, seen it too much.
that is charlie theron?
I didn’t even pick up on the gag until it just came on again after your comment. Going to post that continuity error on her IMDB page.
Jonas Brothers/Whitney Houston has been replaced by Queen/Taylor Swift.
I’m not getting that one! Thank god!
Is the first base ump a fking moron?
One of those guys who was working in the Mexican League last year?
Jake Taylor?
I thought he was dead.
Five games better than Boston now.
My wife has completely given up on the Red Sox and is just waiting for college basketball.
They still have three with Cleveland, three with Minnesota, and four with Tampa Bay left to play. We may have to root for them.
The Yankees are blasting them again.
I’m digging Roark’s whole vibe. The high socks, the body shape, it’s all good.
He has pretty good stuff.
I concur. Certainly liking him better than Mr. Bailey.
I finally looked it up. A wainwright makes wagons.
This umpire is pretty terrible (same guy last night who couldn’t figure out what check swing strikes were), but it looks like Garneau is already the best pitch framer on the roster.
Totally. The way Garneau received strike three to Carpenter is not something Phegley is capable of.
Liking Garneau even more now.
Lawyerball not as effective against a guy who can throw strikes.
I guess we know what the Cardinals’ plan is for pitching to Piscotty.
Garneau knows baseball.
Garyes!
I’m reaching the breaking point with Profar. They obviously tried to give Barreto his job, and that didn’t work out. Time to give Mateo a run? This AAAA Corban Joseph dude?
The Rangers recently released Asdrubal Cabrera. Not a great or even good option, but someone who’s probably still better than Profar right now.
Joe Panik anyone?
we should have claimed freddy galvis
Hm, yeah.
Is priority still by League though, or just record?
Pretty sure it’s still by League.
LOL
Pinder.
Thanks, and go As.
Agreed on Jurk store. He seems to have no plan or awareness at the plate and Im still in fear on anything but the most routine groundball.
And there it is.
Though now Im remembering demanding Grant Green getting a call up, so who knows.
The Jurk store called. He told me to shut it!
No you guys are both fine.
Petit only threw 11 pitches, I’m a little surprised they didn’t give him a second inning.
Planning to use him a whole lot in Wrigley, probably.
Between wild pitches and walks, Diekman is a guy who exacerbates problems when there’s runners on. I wish BoMel would stop using him like he uses Petit, to put out other pitchers’ fires.
Gulp. More A’s runs please.
I’ll take it.
YEAAAAH, I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODYCELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, COME ON!the pitching match ups for games 2 nd three of the cubs series feature 4 pitchers that are 9-7 on the year
