I remember some of those early-season A’s games before Mt. Davis when people could view the A’s game through the slat fence along the walkway above the iceplant. There were some decent crowds up there after Warriors games. It would only happen in the A’s first homestand because the Warriors never made the playoffs.

Pretty wild that we actually traded something for him just a couple of weeks ago.
It’s good that Barreto is back up to get more experience at the major league level. The benches up here are much different.

Font does have the right to declare immediate free agency instead of accepting an outright assignment to the minors, because he was previously DFAd and outrighted by Texas. I’d think his agent would have expected this and would have checked Japan, Korea and Mexico. So there’s that slim thread of hope.

Thanks to the Red Sox for waiting to do this until their season series with the A’s was completed. He had 5 singles in 21 AB with no walks, batting third in each of those 5 games (1 DNP) and grounded to Semien for the final out of Manaea’s no-hitter.

I can’t go tonight, but FYI, the 8 Council members each get 2 tix, so I practice no one in the suite knows who else is supposed to be there. So, fir instance, if you showed up with three friends but only 2 legit suite tix it’s very unlikely anyone would check.
