Let’s not get carried away; the asshole still shines through.
Expanded rosters bring us Barreto, Phegley, Smolinski, and Sam Moll.
Leake/Manaea Gallardo/Cotton Albers/Gossett
Nice acquisition M’s.
Last time Leake was traded, the Giants got 9 starts in return for Adam Duvall and another good prospect, which would be like if we had traded Addison Russell for only Jason Hammel.
jokes on us
so glad i am not listening to vince slather over that dp
What is a Sam Moll?
The lesser known companion guys like Pretty Boy Floyd went with in the slammer.
Yonder Alsonso specialist.
Mulder said it’s awesome that Koch had 11 wins as a closer in 2002. I don’t think Hudson would agree.
We’ve been served.
Why is Joyce facing a lefty in the 8th inning now that rosters have expanded?
Ok Cal folk, it’s on.
Whoa Cal’s winning!!!!
Oh, right. The defense thing.
I had to drive to Sunnyvale and back this morning, giving me the chance to enjoy Joe Starkey and his unique perspectives (i.e. not what anyone else is seeing). Also five separate times he welcomed me to Durham, home of the University of North Carolina.
He is so embarrassing, but he’ll probably try for 50 years (8 more counting 2017).
The man has been misdescribing Cal football since the day I was born. It’s impressive, really.
As the clock ticked down to zeroes, the representative from the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl was seen walking out of Kenan Stadium, shaking her head sadly.
I will update my forecast for Cal from 2-10 to 3-9.
Maybe Cal is actually good? I’m clinging to that hope.
My specific prediction is that the Bears will be 3-0 (Weber State at home, Ole Miss at home) before the commencement of the 0-9 Pac-12 campaign.
Matt Joyce was the starting center fielder tonight? Really, Bob?
I could do without the expanded rosters.
I could do without Chris Hatcher.
I’m unable to muster much rooting enthusiasm for extra innings.
I might not be the only one.
Argh. Treinen almost got out of that. With his slider diving like that all inning there’s no excuse for Maxwell to let that one through.
but a fitting end
Barreto batting second, playing second today. Also Jed has looked awful at plate lately.
I watched Star Wars Ep. 2 last night for the first time since its release. I remembered it being very bad, but it is so much worse than that. I think it is the worst movie I have ever seen. And I’ve seen Ep. 1.
ep. 1 was the first movie I walked out of
also 2 wa so bad when I showed it to the boys, I didn’t bother getting 3
It’s bad on so many dimensions. Ewan McGregor is the only non terrible thing.
His hair though…
Relatedly, I recently watched the “enhanced” Return of the Jedi and George Lucas is a monster.
I’ve always felt that 2 was the worst of the series. It literally was if they made shit up as they went along. 1 wasn’t good, but it at least had something resembling a plot to work with.
Alt. thread title: Suckin’ in Seattle II
I’m gonna guess Goseett’s game plan for Cano did not include waist-high meatballs.
Around the horn to the future!
it looks like sonny gray, it does’t ptch like it
If Gossett misses location even a little bit his pitches look like beachballs.
fat albers is pitching a no hitter
Hey hey hey!
Weird Harold took him deep.
i was just about to type, I like olson being in for lefties.
he hit a wall quick
Damn that pitch was awful even by Casillan metrics.
one more year!
Way to go, dumb ass.
Moll against righties not so much apparently.
Why is Cano’s jersey so filthy

He needs Matt Chapman to get in that one woman’s face for the disrespectful way she’s staring him down.
I lived in seattle for 4 years. its about right.
I’m calling it: Brady is bad.
Message during that mound visit was “eff you, you’re staying out there.”
canha has reverse splits, yeah, this is a known thing now?
Smolinski’s back, everything is fixed now.
its tough to get 16 outs out of the bullpen when you have zero good arm there
I know the Rangers don’t have enough pitching, but with 7 of their final 10 against the A’s, including the final 4 in Arlington, they would seem positioned to be the team that could make a late charge to the wild card.
Quite a comeback by the Ed’s in Pasadena last night.
I saw the early 3rd quarter score in the sports bar last night and hadn’t even bothered to follow up this morning. Another overrated Fucla team going to an early demise. Thanks for pointing it out.
This must be an optical illusion.

Action looks more like a knuckleball than a splitter.
The most amazing part is that the gif is at actual speed.
