Walt Weiss looks like he’s been through some shit since he left us.
Even more since Chapel Hill:
So the Giants put up a braggy billboard at the Coliseum in the guise of congratulating the Warriors? This is real?
It’s in the rotation on one of the electronic billboards at the edge of the south parking lots along 880. You can’t see it from inside the park, but if you’re stopped in traffic getting in or out of the lots for more than a moment or two, it’ll offend your sensibilities.
from what I remember from the twitter pic, it has the GG bridge connecting the two teams logos or people of something.
which is funny because it doesn’t really connect the two
Sounds like they’re telling nevermoor and dmoas that now have to be Giants fans. Sorry guys.
I don’t live in SF.
and where do you live?
and what bridge gets you to work
The Richmond/San Rafael bridge connects me to baseball, and that’s all that really matters.
Yup.
I thought you never go to games.
i think he does. and purposefully doesn’t tell us, as a matter of spite.
:D
The Rockies are the MLB team most in need of a drastic uniform rethink. It just isn’t working.
I see lew people
Ok I’m back home, the A’s can start winning again.
Must be nice. I went away and the A’s started winning. I got home… they get swept by the Royals.
Glen just blew the chance to tell one of the great baseball stories. This is anniversary of Dave Stewart’s no-hitter; later the same day Fernando Valenzuela also threw one. Glen said it was the first time that had happened since 1917, when Hippo Vaughn and Fred Toney both threw no-hitters. “I have no idea who those two gentlemen are,” said Glen, failing to tell us that Vaughn and Toney threw their no-hitters in the same game.
“You’re all a bunch of asses!”
While of course the story is incredibly interesting, Vaughn gave up a single in the 10th. Why does it count as a no hitter?
At that time i think baseball tracked any 9 inning hitless outing as a “no-hitter” regardless of the eventual outcome.
Aren’t we all gonna die?
Now less funny.
Why?
Right after your post Scribs gave up the homer to make it 5-1 and triggered my bullpen PTSD.
Ah. Wasn’t watching live, so I was confused by your comment when I checked and saw 7-1.
Credit where it’s due: Graveman keeps pitching very well.
“¡Hasta la Victoria Siempre!”
Ah, they’re going to be fine. Look at ’em go! They could totally turn this season around this year and contend.
Oh, they’re playing the Rockies.
