So I will. Our Keystone Kops will hopefully catch the ball tonight and Soto may throw the ball to a MI.

I meant to say this last night but with all the awfulness I dudnt want to pile on. Got my first real taste of VC slurping the Rangers. All you who try to shove him onto my TV can get bent if I have to listen to that 19 times a year.

they need to synch the TVs back at the base. in one shot you can see when the foot is off the air but not the glove touching the shin. in the other you can see the shin touch, but not whether the foot is in the air. synch ’em to see both angles at the same time, and he’s out.

When it looked like the A’s might win in spite of their incompetence, I didn’t really feel that great about it. The win would have been Samardzija’s doing, plus a bit of good luck to get a solitary run.

That would have given the team a cushion to make the play-in game, but it otherwise didn’t prove anything but that Samardzija was really, really good tonight.

  89. bear88 Sep 17,2014 10:26 pm

I wish we didn’t have to wait another 8 or 9 days for them to be eliminated from the wild card. I can’t see any way I can believe in this team in October even if they somehow back their way into a wild card spot and then win that game.

my fk crashed when the triple was in review. I went to bed. I wanted to say this. I am happy the A’s lost. mariners and detroit lost. no ground lost on them. But the most important thing is, the ANgels had to wait a few hours after their game to know if they clinched. and they did not get to celebrate after a win.

“It’s going to be a turning point one way or another,” Doolittle said. “After the season’s over, are we going to look back and point to tonight and be like, ‘This is the game where finally the wheels came off for good,’ or are we going to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and talk about how resilient we are as a team and how we were able to overcome a game like this and still get it done?”

    Love Samardzija. Love him.

“There’s no time to pout. There’s no time to feel sorry for yourself,” Samardzija said. “That’s just the way it goes. There have been plenty of times when I’ve gone out and given up multiple runs and gotten wins out of it. It goes both ways.

“You just go out and keep doing your job. You look back on these things and it makes you a better person, makes you a better ballplayer.”

And not just because he looks like Zlatan.
