3 hours of A’s frustration + everything going right for slegnA. Then 20 minutes where everything completely changed. Baseball is amazing.

I guess I’d have to do that. I hate rentals, and I like Pomeranz, but that would be some playoff rotation.
Can we trade DL players? Maybe Parker, Milone, Chavez so the Sox could restock their rotation in one fell swoop? Add a bullpen arm. Pomeranz maybe too.
Way too much for a rental and it would kill any protection if a starter went down. I wouldn’t mind a Parker+ to start with. Not sure how much they would.

Kind of depends on whether they offer him arbitration, whether they expect him to decline, and whether someone will give up a pick to sign him. If they expect that to happen, there’s value in it. If they don’t and/or expect to pick him back up in the off season, there’s less. I’d totally give up Milone for him though. That would be fun if only for watching Milone pitch half a season in Fenway.
Boston fans would like him. The Italians would embrace Tomaso and the Irish would think his forbears spelled Malone wrong.

So, that was a fun game, wasn’t it?
What? I was busy all afternoon into the evening prepping the floor and painting the master bathroom before putting down some new tile to match the kitchen, I saw a pitch or two in I think the 7th, then grabbed some food and tuned back in for the 9th.
It must’ve been the 6th when we started the bedtime routine. By the time I got out of spawn1’s room, it was 5-4. ‘Twas a nice surprise, although wish I could’ve listened to it while it was happening.
I tuned in when we were down 4-3 with absolutely no idea that we had already scored twice in the inning.
