Billionaire Home Depot founder Arthur Blank “said his ambition to bring another Super Bowl to town rides on replacing the Georgia Dome, which opened in 1992, with funds including $200 million in taxpayer money…The project calls for demolishing the city’s first black Baptist church, and turning the street named after (Martin Luther King Jr.) into a dead-end for stadium VIP parking.â€

That pear-shaped chronicler of poop stories is right!
Awesome: the 1,000 Days of Band T-shirts project. Bonus point for the brilliant blog name.

Three bedrooms, 2200 sq.ft., only $295,000?! Oh, crap, it’s in Akron. Oh, crap, it has some issues.
I believe the term is “character.” Also, I feel like there’s a big enough niche of serial killer groupie/enthusiasts that that will be a positive selling point for the eventual buyer

Colbert to replace Letterman.
I don’t know how that is going to work.
Although, I never knew how he kept his so going for more than 3 months. he is surprisingly good
I think the worst part of CR is his interviews, but maybe they’ll be tolerable when he’s not in character. I’m bummed because I can always count on the report for 10 minutes of laughs a night, and 10 minutes is about all I’m willing to commit to. I can’t see myself taping Late Night and then trying to cue through to funny bits.
I remember the versatility of Colbert’s days on the Daily Show (as does Magary in the piece I linked above), and this makes me think once he leaves the CR Colbert character behind he’ll still thrive. Like you, though this is largely an academic prediction since I’ll most likely rarely actually watch the new show.
If an online exchange based on Magic The Gathering can grow huge enough to embezzle $500 million, maybe JuggaloCoins aren’t such a crazy investment.
i keep reading this as “Fire Place Grill” and then i get confused.
You’re not alone.
YAY!
A Fire Place Grill sounds fun, combine the joy of tailgating and the cuddliness of a warm fire place.
Witchy does have a fire pit…
i do. and it’s quite portable.

Listening to Marketplace yesterday made it seem like Heartbleed was going to be the downfall of civilization as we know it, but it seems like most sites have patched their systems. Surprisingly, FK wasn’t on the list of sites tested.
I had read several stories about it, and it was the New Yorker of all places that finally gave details about the bug:
I’m no security expert, and some remote exploits can be quite subtle and a pain to protect against, but that’s just braindead.
So it’s like a reverse buffer overflow?
Of course, xkcd shows it in a way even I can understand.
“Heartbleed” sounds like it should be the name of a Valyrian steel sword.
The Danny Salazar Project is going to be interesting. He faces 18 batters in 3-2/3 innings, strikes out 10, walks 2 and gives up 6 hits (including 2 HR), 5 runs and is done based on pitch count.
I really, really like him. He’s gonna be good.

In 15 days I worked 8 shifts of 12, a 17, 2 5s, and had 2 education days. I’ll be glad to see Oakland next week.
If you did that here, you’d have gotten 36 hours of OT and 5 hours of double-time. Buy a one-way ticket (or a 3-way — any odd number will do).
I vote for the 2nd one. :D
Thanks, and go As.
never seen this before. colombian team and pablo escobar favorite, atlético nacional, is playing in the libertadores right now. their coach is writing down his positioning changes on little notebook pages and sending them in to his captain for him to tell the players. the ref busted the captain for reading the paper. well, for time wastage really. this whole thing has a middle school note-passing flavor and maybe there’ll be detention after class.
I’m a soccer ignoramus, but how hard can those instructions be that written instructions were required?

First place, motherFKers.
Also, replay sucks just like I told y’all.
i WAS A BACKER OF REPLY. I will admit, I think MLB has screwed it up. it shouldn’t take this much time. i think over all, its gone poorly
Introducing replay and the catcher rule at the same time and making the catcher rule reviewable was obviously stupid.
I wish they said, “don’t bowl over the catcher” then leave it there.
Yeah. That’s really the only thing they needed to do. If you can’t get to the plate without doing so, turn back.
In fairness, you can’t possibly expect replay to work the first go around. The real test is how they fix it in the off season. The NFL’s replay at first sucked ass but they’ve constantly improved it to the point where it works well. Not great, but well.
Well I think it still sucks in football. And in my opinion this new replay stuff makes baseball feel more like football, which is not good at all.
Yeah, I’d be much more willing to go along for baseball if they’d ditch the idiotic challenge system. That’s the worst footballish part of the new system.
Yeah, I guess they wanted to keep the tradition of managers being able to argue or something, but the challenge concept is overall dumb
I’ve been a replay naysayer all along too, because of the delays and interruptions, and I still am. But that said, so far I’ve found it to on the whole be less obtrusive than I thought it would be. Except for the intersection with the home plate calls which is clearly a big problem.
That’s entirely separate issue from replay.
Not at all, it is specifically the way that replay is being used on those home plate calls that has been the source of the longest reviews and most inconsistent applications. The manager challenge aspect gets gamed to exacerbate the delays, and line between reviewing video and interpreting rules is blurry, detracting from both.
Except it’s not a manager challenge. They can’t challenge that, the umps are doing the reviewing on their own. And if not for a really stupid rule change, they wouldn’t be reviewing it at all. The rule is the source of the problem, the replay system is entirely secondary to the problem.
I find the problem to be the technology. As it’s been rapidly made clear by all the “inconclusive” calls made even after replay, the camera angles and video quality currently available are only good enough to overturn the most obvious of calls. And I find it especially annoying how there still isn’t a better camera set up to capture those fair or foul home runs (like Lowrie’s the other day) other than the current offset camera that doesn’t tell us anything. This has been an issue forever.
I’d be interested in seeing how MLB plans to expand and utilize high framerate technology such as this to improve the replay system. Of course, this would require them to be innovative and be at the forefront in adapting cutting edge technology.
cool. I like the seth smith broken bat and the donaldson drive. Why couldn’t they show a controversial call in that promo video.
Yeah, that’s beyond fking awesome.
I don’t mind the inconclusiveness issues. The goal is to get the obvious ones anyway. That doesn’t mean anything you said was incorrect, far from it. They need to focus this season on figuring out how to better position *static* cameras in all the stadiums to appropriately capture more of those inconclusive calls if only to make the process faster. They also need to invest heavily in 4k and possibly 8k technology for those cameras. Not necessarily for actual broadcasts, but for the replay side. Being able to blow up the image to extreme levels and retain clarity would be a huge help. They should have a much better view of these things than the home audience, not the other way around.
Between that, removing the idiotic challenge system, and replaying ball & strike calls with an automated system are absolute musts for this to continue. It’s great that on the in play calls, the umps are near perfect. They’re no where near that when it comes to balls & strikes.
i’m still in favor of review. am introducing separate item, being entirely against the challenge system.
I dont think I have heard anyone that actually likes the challenge system.
if MLB really thinks there’s only 1 over turned call every 6 games or whatever, then they should know that a challenge system is horribly unnecessary. It would be one thing if they were expecting 1 or 2 a game and wanted to avoid a dozen challenges every game. But that isn’t the case.
i haven’t either. but i’m trying to separate the 2 things rather than saying if challenge sucks then review sucks.
tonight Danny salazar went 3.2 innings.
He had 10 strikeouts and one runner was cut down on the bases.
Hey guys! How’s the Bay Area treating everybody?
you move yet?
(how are you?)
Yep. We’re in San Clemente now. We miss NorCal, but there are certainly positives to the area here.
The new job is great–now to sell our house!
Much better since baseball season started.
Ron washington doesn’t think much of the Astros.
Who does?
Thanks, and go As.
If Fuld is in the lineup, my guess is Coco to the DL.
They could retro it to April 7, so that’d be five of the 15 days done already.
If he can’t play today, they may as well give him that rest instead of playing short. It’ll also give them that much longer to delay making any sort of roster decision.
melvin can pull a ron washington and not give a shit about the lineup for the Mariners and astros. If we assume retro dl to ap 7, then he gets off for the rangers series.
and angels
And I guess the thinking would be “Don’t actually DL him until Gentry comes back and you definitely have to make a move somewhere”?
Retroactive DL? Never heard of it.
If we DL him now then we can’t have him pinch hit tomorrow and confirm that he still doesn’t feel good. That’s when we DL him! There’s a process here!
I don’t understand how it can be possible for Sam Fuld to not be the odd man out. Billy knows that the years prior to 2014 are not an elaborate fiction, right? Like he gets that they still happened?
Welcome BFN, your debut comment has been greenlighted and your future comments will now show up instantly. Nice to have you aboard.
Thank you for the nice welcome!
welsome
Eric patterson getting 500 PAs was an elaborate fiction I hope
500? Really? As much as those years felt like they dragged on forever, it never seemed like Eric Patterson was getting 500 plate appearances.

Can’t even remember who I said that about. Reddick?
nope, the guy you contrasted to reddick, and in the other post where you only talked about him.
also, it’s only been two days since you said it! and it was well said. (though i’m not sharp enough to see if there are holes in it.)
Dang, still no Gentry? Would’ve really liked to see him in the lineup against Felix.
You really want his first ABs of the season and off the DL agaisnt him?
Sure, why not.
he has just as much of a chance as fuld does of getting on base
If I remember right, the last time I saw a game at Safeco Barry Zito was on the mound, Milton Bradley was in the outfield and Ken Macha was in the dugout. It’s nice to be back in Seattle and (for mid-April) the weather couldn’t be better for tonight’s fine pitchers duel. It could be a good night to check out the various alcohol offerings at the stadium. I’ll be the guy NOT wearing the yellow Felix T-shirt.
if you are a coffee drinker, go to Vivace in capitol hill. best ini the City.
Look for Pam at the ballpark tonight, she will also not be wearing the king felix shirt. Pam can tell you where vivace is.
I don’t know where she is sitting this weekend, but she is there all three games.
Duly noted, thank you. I’m going to amble around the city on foot tomorrow and was going to Capitol Hill so will drop in there. I’ll just walk until I get tired; seems like a lot of bus lines head back downtown, so any other suggestions are welcome.
The first leg of the walk was Pioneer Square to Capitol Hill and I did find Vivace. I don’t differentiate too much about coffee; it’s either “good” or “dirty dishwater”, but the Mocha was fine. I noticed a “Caffe Nico” on the board, but it only comes in a 4 oz. size which seemed lightweight to me. (Of course if they only serve a 4 oz. size it’s probably anything but.)
good man.
I can’t really recommend anything as its been 15 years since I lived there. But I will say that SLF and I rent cars when we fly to seattle so we can go to vivace more. Her and I love it that much
I might be going on Sunday, depending on what I can find on Stubhub.
if you don’t want your life to suck for several hours on end, don’t go to the giants’ game. it’s really that simple.
who drives to giants games?
Maybe the Giants are all wrong about this territorial rights business and actually most of their fans live in the East Bay.
i don’t know why you wrote “about this territorial rights business and actually most of their fans live in the east bay.”
Take BART (and a 20 minute walk) and you’re there.
Per SuSlu, Crisp is taking BP today, Reddick is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow and Gentry is probably going to be activated.
If that all holds true and there’s no DL for Crisp, I’m guessing Barton is DFA’d.
Ah, SuSlu speculates it will be Fuld off the roster tomorrow.
Fuld’s a replacement-level version of Gentry. It has to be him.
Wouldn’t mind that.
Jane Lee has this comment from Melvin: “There are details I would rather not get into”. I’m guessing it just means he doesn’t want to start saying yeah we are going to DFA anyone and then have someone get hurt and pull it back. But the first time I read it it sure as hell sounded like a trade or something was coming and that would allow the moves.
More likely that decision isn’t his to make but he doesn’t want to actually say it. Same thing happened just after LD’s last appearance.

No one else can play first at the moment aside from Moss & Barton. He was stay regardless if only for depth. Gotta hope Nate and beat all odds and destroy AAA.
Jean Quan really, really needs to learn not to rile up the hoopleheads.
She is a Grade-A idiot and liar.
I won’t go along with either of those, but I will say she is perhaps the worst extemporaneous politician I have ever seen.
what do you mean? the collusion of the occupy conference call wasn’t supposed to be stated out loud?
Well, having heard from MLB that they don’t like Howard Terminal and continuously pimping it as legitimate despite that is pretty idiotic and lacking focus.
That’s a bogus criticism, since the only thing you “know” about MLB’s position is what you just heard today, single sourced to one other Oakland politician who happens to hate the Mayor, and what he says is that MLB’s opinion was conveyed just last week.
Well, that person happens to be just as much in the know as anyone. And quite frankly everything we know about HT basically gushes horribly impractical. There are much, much easier ways to show their hatred and make Quan look foolish than to make that claim.
Ehh. Maybe. She has always come off to me like some random person who ended up Mayor, only she’s never had a clue about actually being Mayor.
No, she’s just generally incompetent at her job.
QUAN LIED SHE NEVER DUBAI’D
All set for 20 gallon brew days.
did you buy 5 kegs?
I did, and I was gifted 4, and then traded 5 to turn the other 4 into keggles.
If I put another burner in the middle I can max out at 30 gallons at a time :-)
When will you be installing the bar stools and jukebox?
do you want to borrow my juke box (you’ll need to fix it too)

Sometimes I wish I liked beer.
Are those from Bulldog Brewery? Man that’s some good memories right there. Also probably a little vomit at some point.
I picked them up from the Steelhead taproom in Burlingame – they used to own Bulldog and these were their surplus. Originally I wanted 4 and they quoted me $40 each, or 5 for $150!
was the “Steelhead Taproom in burlingam” in istanbul?
More to the point, it practically demands that ptbnl’s new speakeasy be named the Staplehead Taproom in Oakland.

Welcome to Saturday’s bloggy tribute to a legendary superstar of The Funk, as well as myriad other styles-in-sound stretching across these last 50 or so years. If you can find or show me a funkier 66 minutes of television than this 2010 rebroadcast of a 1974 Headhunters concert on German TV, I’ll be awfully impressed… but I doubt such a thing exists, so just come on over and celebrate the 74th birthday of Herbie Hancock with me :P
also, if anyone would like the 2CD King Crimson compilation I just made for my friend Sam’s teenage daughter — warning: it’s got lots of strange edits and such unique to this set — you can get 320K mp3s of it here and FLACs of it here!!!!
ENJOY everybody :D

Amazing prank. Reminds me of the time Kyle Kendrick got traded to the Yomiuri Giants.
Holy crap … Liverpool.
nice.
did you really get up at 5:37? (what’s up with the x:x7? starts)
I did not – I couldn’t face the prospect of getting up that early to watch them lose (that’s what the last 20 years has done to me!)
XX:07 was a Hillsborough memorial – 25 years ago that game was stopped at 15:07.

Uh, WTF is up with the 49ers this offseason?

Also, a bunch of 20 something millionaires who have always been catered to their whole life and are acting like morons.

Tim Kawakami is also an idiot, but I think he’s correct this time.
Blind squirrels and nuts. Clocks being right twice a day and such stuff. But yeah. Agreed. They’re on their way to becoming the old Dallas Cowboys.
So I heard a witness say that he was being refused access to the flight by SouthWest and said “Do you know who I am? I’m the bomb!” which is still stupid, but very different from a threat.
I don’t know why I’m laughing so hard at that. It’s so absurdly not funny.
I did just read somewhere that he lost his ID. That would make the flight refusal make sense.
Thanks, and go As.
Dave Cameron on the transfer
It’s just unbelievable to me that they could introduce this rule change without thinking through the consequences, particularly since the infield fly rule exists.
I want to see that play result in a triple play… against the Yankees.
I vehemently disagree that they can’t change it this season and now. They seemed to have added in this early into the season, they can damn well fix it too. And if I’m a MLB manager, I sure as fuck would exploit it and make a full of the league if they’re too damn stubborn to do so. And the earlier they do it, the better. You don’t want the play offs or the World Series decided by this. At all.
Dirk Hayhurst on doctoring the ball.
Quite a tutorial. I had no idea that shaving cream was used as a “primer” substance, upon which other grippy substances can be layered for maximum effect.
Calling ptbnl: I’m starting to book my summer vacation trip now (East coast, Brazil, Argentina). For multi-city type travel, is there any benefit to booking it all in one go vs. doing three one way tickets? Or is just a “price it out and see what’s cheaper” scenario?
Generally a single multi-leg ticket will be cheaper, but not always – it will depend on the availability of flights to all destinations on a given airline (or its partners). A single ticket will also mean you’re covered in case of a missed connection – though presumably you’re staying a few days in each destination, so that’s not such a big deal.
The big upside to separate tickets is that you can rearrange a single leg without voiding/rebooking the whole ticket.
The other possibility to consider is a mixed open jaw multi-leg plus one-way if there’s one leg that isn’t covered by an airline that has cheap flights on the other legs – likely the Brazil/Argentina leg if the other flights are on a US carrier.
Which cities specifically? I’m happy to take a look …
That makes sense. I’m bouncing around a lot, so different airlines may be easier. I have a bit of flexibility with some dates, but I’m planning on:
1. SFO -> ILM (Wilmington, NC) on June 16 or 17
2. MYR (or ATL if I can work out a ride there) -> GIG (Rio, Brazil) on July 1
3. Buenos Aires -> SFO somewhere between July 16th and 19th
What happened to Rio/Buenos Aires?
Aliens. They were nice enough to take him from Rio to Buenos Aires, but weren’t going to be around for the rest of the trip. Things to do, people to probe. You know the drill.
we prefer “immigrants.”
wait. i meant… I WAS BORN IN EAST L.A.!
I already have a few South America travel plans with some friends that will take me between those places. I just haven’t booked the bigger international flights in and out of South America yet.
OK, so it’ll be open-jaw anyway. What would you consider a good price? Are there airlines you don’t want to touch? How long are you prepared to spend on the South American legs?
From a cursory look, TAM for MYR/GIG and Avianca for EZE/SFO look like the cheapest one-way flights, but they both involve multiple stops and long itineraries.
You’re amazingly adept at this stuff. Was your original vocation travel agent, then after the internet killed that industry you picked up cosmology as a fallback career?
Well the cosmology predated internet travel, but complicated work/family itineraries and incompetent travel organizers made picking up the basics a necessity.
FYI, aerolineas arg and LAN had a strike this month. not that they’ll necessarily have another one soon, but that you never know when they will. same with taxis, buses, cops… teachers just went back to work this week after like 9 days of strike. erm… gosh. how DO they run that country??
Looking on Hipmunk, I’m seeing $2200-$2500, depending if I leave out of Atlanta or Myrtle Beach for that leg. I don’t care about airlines. And you mean for the length of travel time for the South America pieces? Obviously, the less transfers and less layover time the better, but I’m pretty good at enduring less than direct travel.
Yeah – the $800 ATL/GIG I saw earlier has disappeared; now the best I’m finding is things like
$289 SFO/ILC on US Air via CLT (7hrs)
$968 ATL/GIG on AA/TAM via MIA (14hrs)
$993 EZE/SFO on Avianca via LIM+SAL (18hrs)
and the fact that you never leave from an airport you arrived at doesn’t make for any useful consolidation.
Bleh, yeah. I suppose I’ll just have to book something like that. That $800 flight would have been nice.
I’ll try cache-clearing and re-searching tomorrow.
Was that AA/TAM too?
It was.
Have you noticed a difference in prices once you cross the two months out line? Just wondering if I should suck it up and book tonight or tomorrow
No – though I don’t see any reason to expect flights to Rio to drop in price between now and July.
Yeah me neither. Thanks for your help. I’ll keep scanning one way tickets and book something soon
that is a day trip on a bus right? Can’t be too far from each other. same country and all
~18 hours i think. and yeah, same country but you have to go through paraguay for some reason.
Paraguay? that is uruguay, right?
no. U R!
actually i don’t know the route. just guessed they’d go across the rio de la plata where it’s narrower.
um… never mind. tax day/postal related joke incomprehension. got it now.
Flights to GIG during the Copa are going to be brutal.
Yeah for sure. But that’s to be expected
“The other possibility to consider is a mixed open jaw multi-leg plus one-way.”
It’s like you’ve been reading my private browsing history.

dude! WC bound?
and how long /where in argentina?
Yep! Itinerary in South America is roughly Rio, Curitiba, Iguassu, Buenos Aires. I’ll be there for two/two and a half weeks
i was going to rec byt argentina, especially if sharing multi-bedrooms with travel group, a weeklong apartment in san telmo, especially if sharing multi-bedrooms with travel group, but you may not be there a whole week…
Good to know! We may be in Buenos Aires approaching a week
I think some of you also kickstarted Holy Toledo with that Korach book party–has anyone heard anything? I got an email about a month ago mentioning dates that were this week, but didn’t hear anything after that.
I actually just e-mailed about it this morning and Steve had a family matter that came up. He said he’ll be talking with Ken again to lock down a date.
are you guys in lynn’s group? different group but both of you in same group? 3rd and separate parties?
I don’t know about any groups.
I think Lynn bought “host a party at your house and invite who you want”. We bought “meet up with Ken and 30 random people at the Pleasanton Library”.
Ohhh. I’m doing the thing with Korach, but the last we heard was it may be at the Coliseum after a game. Don’t know anything about the library.
Yes, I didn’t mean “Pleasanton Library” literally, it’s a stand-in for “a free room in the East Bay where 30 people could meet for an hour”. Section 123 at the Coliseum after a game would work fine.
If I’m not planning on coming to the Bay Area the date they finally schedule this thing I’ll offer up my invitation here.
Same here.
Ed, is this a friend of yours?
Judges are weird. this kind of thing happens everywhere. Somebody in my jurisdiction had to get a court OK to wear tennish shoes after foot surgery.
Tennis shoes that cost more than my dress shoes, mind you
Meanwhile, they’re all naked under their dress.
I just want to sleep in.
are we seeing you on friday?
If I’m alive.
good.
What’s happening Friday?
I’m in town.
Sleep in what?
My birthday suit, usually.
FUUU!
um, i gotta sent the irs a check, like *right* now.
USPS website is not helping me find open-late PO. anybody know if 13th st does this on tax day?
The big huge main Oakland post office on 7th Street does the tax day late night thing, I think even with drive-up service set up.
been there done that!
but, thanks. yes with driveup. lots of cars right now.
i love discussions of mid atlantic bus routes
Nothing like trying to go to sleep at 11:30 and knowing you needed to do “something”.

speaking in general terms, i tend to be happier when la pulga and angelito are on the same side.
As a professional sniper your chances for a head shot don’t come any easier than this.
I would have loved to see that. They’d put a bullet through the mascot head in front of a stadium full a fans, likely with many kids. And Mr. Met would continue on dancing until they shot his neck or body.
i guess clinton’s a braves fan.
The DisAstros defence in rare form, enabling the walk-off bunt.A blast from the past to ready us for the DisAstros on Friday.
Not really a walk-off, is it given they’re the road team and they didn’t actually end the game and walk off. But that was hilariously bad. Two guys run into each other, one guy dives in front of the throw.
Also, last year.
That and – as I’ve just noticed – being 2 years old.
Apart from that I done good.
Who else ordered Jews to register or face deportation?

No, no, no, It’s like the Rocky movies. You start by showing how the last one finished before moving on to the next one.
Fangraphs on the A’s rotation
This analysis relies a lot on LD% which already has a lot of noise even in a large sample. So in a sample of three starts, these types of batted ball profiles are almost useless. For example, Straily made the leaderboard due in large part to a 10.2% line drive rate. That sample of 10% contains a grand total of 5 line drives in 49 total balls in play. Just having, say, 3 or 4 flyballs being classified as line drives instead would have skewed that percentage significantly, which probably would’ve impacted his placement on this “contact management score” as well. And for what it’s worth, Straily had a 20% line drive rate last year.
The author does acknowledge this and he makes numerous references to the small sample (for example, he brings up Gray, who has a ridiculously high 30% LD rate right now). But if he’s aware of how tenuous his data is, I don’t really see the point in concluding right now that the A’s have a “low risk, high reward” rotation with good contact management skills.
Agreed. People keep trying to do way more with batted ball type data than that data can actually support.
Not only are the batted ball type numbers themselves very noisy to begin with, but the relation to ERA is also noisy and weak. Previous work like tERA that tried to fit batted ball data into a DIPS like framework was a nice idea, but in the end it gave predictions that were worse than FIP or xFIP, which simply ignored that data. I don’t know why I should expect “STD BIP ERA+” or “STD ALL ERA+” to be any better.
And the “ALL < BIP" measure will simply select for those pitchers who have good K/BB (and hence good FIP or xFIP) numbers.
I knew it was bullshit when I saw Cahill didn’t make the cut

nice.
Cool. It’s jarring now to see the two-tone cap with the road grays.
Does snyone remember the patch they are wearing? Isnt familiar to me.
Duh..all star game patch. Did we wear them all year? Im sure its just beung a kid but I dont remember them..
This is the logo. I’m sure they did wear them all season because when a team host the All-Star Game, so much of that season’s marketing is tied into it. The Twins have their 2014 ASG logo on the side of their caps.
I played in a charity poker game recently, and the guy sitting next to me was wearing one of those white caps they sold that year with that logo on the front. I’m pretty sure I have one somewhere in my parents’ garage.

FSU bait: Why I fixed fights, written by a former boxing manager.
Not exactly news to a seasoned boxing fan, but a very good read.
Yes, I saw this. A very interesting piece, and quite well written. Helluva way to make a living, the fight game. Yikes.
