I just got off of the phone with A’s Season Ticket services, and (as you’d expect) the deal is marginally less good this year. Last year, we paid $1897 for 22 games ($86/game) in section 110 and a day in a suite. This year, the quote is $1945 for 24 games ($81/game, announced as a 107% discount over face value) and we are talking sections 122, 123, 111, and 112 (they’ve distinguished between MVP infield and MVP, and don’t sell this package for the former). The additional offers are 2 free infield (not MVP infield) tickets to an early-season game and a suite for $200 ($11/ticket) instead of the $1500 “normal” price. The ease with which we can transfer tickets between games stays the same.
So the question is whether people want to do that. This is obviously not the same level of deal as PTBNL’s seats (what’s the deal with those, btw?), but I enjoyed doing this last year and would be willing to organize again this year if we have enough interest to absorb the full package.
We need to move pretty fast on this, since I’m so late in the game on calling the A’s, and they never called me, but let me know if you are interested, and for how many games. Please also indicate whether you’re willing to commit now, or just tentative.

If these quantities are right, I think we’ve used our 24. I just paid the A’s, so feel free to fire away the paypal (my screenname at gmail). $81/game for the two tickets. We can figure out whether to take the $200 option on a suite, and how to dispose of the free tickets, in the next thread.
If there are still people wanting in, note that this includes a bump up on FSU and Oblique, based on their comments so there is probably room for some reassignment, but that’s up to the people listed above. I want my ten tickets.
Like last year, we’ll do game scheduling in another thread since it maximally flexible (we can double up on games, move however we want, etc.). Just to get your juices flowing on that subject, I requested (1) all 15 premium games; (2) all 5 other fireworks games; (3) 8/17 and 8/18 Indians games, which includes the Yoennis Bobblehead; (4) 4/27 Reggie Bobblehead; and (5) 6/29 Coco Bobblehead.
I’d be in for 2 games again this year.
I’ll check in with my front row friends, but at $74/pair that’s the way I’ll likely be going this year.

Last year they were $74/pair + $9 for the VIP parking pass (waived on free parking Tuesdays and good for general parking at any game).
I don’t know how much the 81-game package costs this year, but whatever it is they’ll be sold at face to genuine A’s fans only because these are good people.

You know me: “come for the freekraut.com, get stuck with the freekraut.net”. Seriously, though, I have no idea what happened, since 111 is a special section to me so I don’t know how I would have messed it up.
Yeah, 111 is nice, that’s the section where some of my bleacher buddies and I had a ~20-game plan for the 1988-1990 World Series teams. We initially bought that because we wanted ticket priority for the 1987 All-Star Game and hung on to those up until the 1994 work stoppage.
We probably sat very near you at some point. My dad’s firm did season tickets in that section at the same time.
It worked out very well for postseason tickets for 88, 89, 90 and 92. I forget how our ticket sharing system worked, and I wasn’t the coordinator, but I know I went to most of those postseason games and always in decent seats, never exiled to Sec. 302. I distinctly remember being right behind home plate in 117 or 118 when Roger Clemens was ejected in Game 4 in 1990.

So by my count we are at 15-19 games out of 24. Six or so is right for me, but nine is a bit rich.
Still, it looks like we are close enough that I should just lock ’em in. Are people willing to pay for the games they are committed to relatively quickly?
I have a sentimental attachment to section 111, but that doesn’t need to drive default placement, so feel free to sound off here about whether you want the default to be 1B or 3B side.
Finally, we need to decide what to do with the two freebies. I’m thinking the fairest options are to do a random draw among people buying tickets who would use ’em or to see if someone wants to buy them at season ticket cost. My understanding from the phone call is that they must be used in April/May.
Can we wait until after the weekend in case I hear back from my friends, or are you trying to lock in before FanFest?
I think our seats end up better if we lock in early. We can definitely wait to lock in specifics, particularly for people who are waiting on things like your tickets to decide, but I also don’t want to carry the entire balance for too long.

Opening night, SF, NYY, STL, CHC (on the 2-4 of July), and BOS. The reason to pick them is that it is free to exchange off of them, but not onto them. And picking them initially doesn’t change the package cost.

It means that the only website that I found allowing multiple teams with the same email address had a minimum of more slots than there were participants.
The normal verifiable tools require unique email addresses.
Also, some details on the voucher: it excludes 4/1, 4/13, 4/27, 5/18, 5/27, and 5/28. You need to take it to the box office or ticket services to redeem.

There are dates that some have already expressed interest in, so date availability will be somewhat limited.
I have not purchased the tickets yet, but will be most likely doing so on Wednesday.
The plan is for the Fielder’s Choice package for Field Level seats, I’m looking to get two seats in the shade in sections 119-121 rows 26-31.
There will be some flexibility for sure amongst those already in, just trying to gauge interest for now.
Reason for the availability is one of the original buyers has had to decline as his business is looking like it’s about to fold this month and can no longer commit to the expense… :(
